Cons: Nothing - it was great
Location: Directly opposite King George Square - there was a festival on Saturday morning so it was interewting to wonder the stalls and learn things

Pros: Good helpful staff who were very pleasant. The cleaning our room was particularly thorough. Good facilities in the hotel.
Cons: We found the cafe was not always reliable.
Location: Total variety within walking distance....galleries ,south bank, eating facilities, parks theatre and more
We had a wonderful holiday in our hotel as it was close to all main features of the city of Brisbane. Transport bus train ferry were all a walk away. The major sight seeing features.....architecture, shopping, parks and gardens, restaurents and all things to give pleasure were close by.

Nice hotelPosted Jun 1, 2014
Pros: Apart from the maintenance all the staff were helpful.
We reported a blocked toilet that wouldn't flush properly the man that came to fix it was extremly rude made sarcastic comments and swore while fixing it I thought this was rude. I still haven't been refunded the $100 they hold for incidentals.

Brisbane VisitPosted May 18, 2014
Pros: Location and staff
Cons: an additional chair in our room would have been helpful. One chair in a bedroom for two was not ideal when sitting down for a cup of tea etc.
Location: Central. Easy access to Brisbane museum, lovely churches , lots of shopping and an easy walk to South Bank and the Theatre district. but handy to trai
We were in Brisbane for business & Holiday. Central location was excellent easy for us to walk to lots of places and to use the excellent train and boat services. Staff in all departments helpful, courteous and friendly. Any requests were attended to promptly. Food was very good. I would be happy to stay again and to recommend the Mercure, King George Square to friends and colleagues..

AN EXPENSIVE OPTION WITH NICE BUFFET BREAKFASTPosted Apr 28, 2014
Pros: Location, price, breakfast
Cons: More staff on reception
Location: Very close to train stop & shopping mall, comfortable walking distance to Southbank
Chose this hotel as I wanted a relatively inexpensive option within walking distance of Southbank. The room was fine, certainly nothing to write home about but adequate and met our expectations. Bathroom was poky but as we were only staying one night the room didn't need to be particularly great. The buffet breakfast was very good. There was also a small but nice-looking pool on the rooftop - we didn't use it but plenty of people were & seemed to be enjoying it. More staff needed on reception both at check-in and check-out times.
