Cons: The bathroom shower set up
The staff were very accommodating. Being an interstate traveller to a conference, they allowed me to park my car early on arrival and late after departure due time.

Location is the only thing

If it were not for the location this hotel couldn't charge even close to the rates they charge. The hotel is terribly old, the lobby is uninspired, the guest rooms have a "prison chic" thing going on. The rooms are grey and black, but not in a high end trendy way - more of a sad depressing way. Pair that with terrible florescent lighting and you have the makings for one of the most depressing hotel rooms I've stayed in. The pool is okay, but you have to wind your way through a moldy intra-building connector to get to it. On the upside the location is great, right by the main shopping area with easy access to the South Bank. You can walk to the rugby matches at Suncorp Stadium - but that is all.

Location: Location is excellent, very close to all of the CBD
Overall quite good, airconditioning was not very good, struggled to maintain room temperature.

Excellent hotel in the heart of Brisbane. Given a refurbished corner room which was large and very well equipped

Close to Queen Street Mall

The location is probably the best feature of this hotel. The CBD is quite small so it is possible to walk around. Except for the trip back and forth to the airport we did not have to take any taxis. As a 4 1/2 * hotel, it has seen better days and the furniture and facilities are tired and in need of updating. As hotels are generally expensive in Oz, it is still worth the money to stay here.

Wonderfully friendly staff. Centrally located, easy walk to city center. Will stay there when next I return to Brisbane.
