“Impressive Linens! Beware of Internet Policies”
Loved the room linens and blackout curtains. The linens made us feel luxurious and on vacation. Terrible pricing policy and access for internet. Very disappointed. The front desk said they had recently changed their internet policy and the information was not consistent between employees. Concierge services initially was extremely helpful, emailing assistance before we arrived at the hotel, making restaurant suggestions and reservations. This was hugely appreciated. However, when others in the concierge services were asked for assistance, they did not seem very knowledgeable about transportation to common area attractions or restaurant details.
“Name is not the same as quality”
I had a business visit to Brisbane, and I every hour was counted and booked. I relied on a hotel where some of my basic logistics were going to be organized, but I spent not less than four and half hours trying to get my laundry back from the laundry, after they have called me to tell me it was ready. The internal communication system in this hotel is a mess. I booked a table at one of the two restaurants, and I was told that the restaurant next door was "fine dining only" as in I was below that level. Not nice. One of the pillows was tainted with blood. The air shaft was filthy and covered by a layer of oil and dust, that looked that teflon, but it wasn't. When addressing this with the hotel, they were nice, polite, but nothing was actually done with it. One exception for the sad standard of this hotel was the 30th floor, where attention and service mindedness from all staff there was worth the fifth star of the hotel. Besides this, I will say that Sofitel in Brisbane is mere a simple business hotel of a small town where nobody cares about the difference between the best and the third from the back end of the list. Perhaps that is good enough for Australia, but that is not good enough as defining luxury in other parts of the world. Having a clean pillow or a perfectly clean bathroom are basics anywhere.
“Sleep and forget your life!!”

“Worth every dollar”
