Nice hotel, close to the highway.

Pros: It was easy to find, we enjoyed the pool, and the staff was very pleasant and attentive.
Cons: The room smelled a little musty, but the smell cleared up pretty well once we started the air conditioner in the room.
We had a nice stay at the Comfort Inn in Bristol, VA. It was close to the highway and easy to find. There weren't any restaurants visible from the hotel, but with the rain, we were very happy to order pizza and stay in. The breakfast was very nice, and the common areas well attended and clean. The room was a little musty, but we got a great nights sleep.

Bugs

Unfortunately, I had a bad experience. When I arrived the gentleman behind the desk made a comment about how expensive my wedding ring looked. When I went in my room it smelled smoky and musty, the toilet lid was up, the comforters were dated, and bugs in the bed. I left the hotel and went and slept in my car in a well lit parking lot. The expedia staff have been great about trying to get a refund!

Was closely to Bristol Speedway and town.

Hotel was very dated. Some rooms were designated smoking. Though we were in non smoking, the smell was throughout the hallways. When we checked in and were given our room there was a strong odor(other then cigarette). Asked for another room in which staff were happy to accommodate. Second room had same odor; later surmised it was the musty smell from the AC unit. Glad we only need this for late night check in and on the road again in the morning. Left majority of our items in the car overnight except essentials. Breakfast was good but had to get kids up early to catch it before ending time, and tables were scarce, had to wait (holding kids and their plates ) until a kind man offered us his table.

Perfect for us

We really enjoyed our stay. Staff was very nice and helpful. We were there for the race. I got sick the day we were to check out, the staff allowed me to rest an extra hour in our room as I was the only adult and I was driving. They have made and are making a lot of improvements, no elevator yet but was not a problem for us. Also, parking was fine. We will definitely be back.

The stay was pleasant. The breakfast was very nice and they had what I needed. My room had a littl construction going on in it. Over all just a good experience.

Misrepresentation

Posted Apr 8, 2014 on Hotels.com
Disappointed. I was told that breakfast is served until 10 am but when we got there at 9:27 am, there was no breakfast and all the chairs were up on the tables. We asked about breakfast to this hotel rep and she said she could go in the back and get some cereal for us…. I declined in disgust and left. We could hear people above us walking, walls and ceiling had no soundproofing whatsoever. The filter for the heater/AC unit was dirty and there was a torn wash cloth on the floor when we walked in to the room. Lastly, we woke up with our backs hurting from the mattresses.

Stopped for the night during a downpour. Good facility , a little noisey.
