Better than ExpectedPosted May 25, 2015
Pros: Staff, and the restaurant.
Cons: The outside and the courtyard
It did not look like much from the outside so I was not expecting what followed. Very desk staff, stylish lobby and bar area, clean and comfortable rooms, and one of the best meals I can remember.

A lovely stayPosted Mar 18, 2015
Pros: The staff and my room were both great.
Cons: The cleanliness of the chairs in the foyer. Need to make sure phones in all rooms are working before guests arrive.
Location: Not sure. I had a friend drive me around so it was fine for me.
I was very impressed with the foyer, gives the hotel a really warm and classy feeling. Some of the chairs could do with a clean but overall it had a great appearance. One thing I highly rate this hotel for is the staff. They are super friendly, including the serving staff at the restaurant bar. One negative was that the phone in my room did not work all weekend and even though someone had apparently checked and fixed it whilst I was out, it still did not work on my return. Not knowing it hadn't actually been fixed I had ordered food downstairs. After I had gone to my room, they had called, but when they couldn't get through to me they just brought the tray upstairs. The attitude of staff was great and I couldn't fault them. The phone not working was a little inconvenient when I wanted to order room service and then realised I couldn't unless I went downstairs which defeats the point of room service...but I suppose it saved me a few pounds because I then decided I couldn't be bothered with getting changed and walking downstairs again. There was also a lovely leisure centre with an inviting pool but I wasn't able to use it unfortunately this time around. It was free to use though along with sauna and gym but I didn't have chance. Main thing was, I really liked my room. It had a lovely, cosy and elegant feel to it. Would definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone.

Excellent beds.Posted Mar 17, 2015
The beds were incredibly comfortable but the shower was appalling, just a dribble and there was no heating in the bathroom so it was freezing. The staff couldn't have been nicer though.

A great weekend break to relax!Posted Feb 17, 2015 on Hotels
An excellent base to explore Bristol. Although, once you're back at the hotel, a car is needed to go somewhere due to being in an business park/estate (Aztec West). I really enjoyed the breakfast, gym and spa facilities.

Nice hotel. Location good for the motorway, but not so good for the city, but we knew that.

Great hotel in a great position - just a little dated and no lift that we could find but breakfast more than made up for that

Not really up to scratchPosted Feb 4, 2015 on Hotels
First room smelt of cigarettes despite being on no smoking floor. Moved after some delay to second room which was fine other than a dusty phone and the key card failed twice - they offered me a free drink at the bar which was nice, but I could have done without the hassle. Restaurant closed on Sunday evening without explanation, although bar snacks available and room service I think - I didn't bother. Overall, OK but I wouldn't rush back
