Super 8 Glade Spring

Room was clean, quiet, and priced well. Location was close to truck stop dinner and convient to interstate. Towels had noticeable stains and hopefully they were sanitary. They should have been replaced.

It's a budget hotel. Fine if you don't mind your room smelling a bit funky and not having a refrigerator.--but then it is pretty cheap. I will say that the bathroom seemed to be recently re-done, which was nice.

Upon arrival the first room (#106) was a horrible musty smell. I was given another room with no problem and profuse apologies from desk clerk. We were checked on by owner(?) to make sure we were satisfied with second room. Small room, clean enough, no table. Sheets need to be replaced as they are very thin. Any small problem I had was met immediately with a correction by desk clerk. She could not have been any nicer. Unfortunately when we returned after being out all the next day, housekeeping had not touched our room. Again profuse apologies and offer to clean the room and make the beds for us. I would recommend this hotel as an overninght. For the price it is very good. The desk clerk was very personable and eager to correct problems. She was the best part of our stay. I would stay here again, but just overnight. Shower has been upgraded and is nice. Clock radio in room, but couldn't plug in as there was not an extra plug for it. Hairdryer, microwave both in room. Small coffee pot also. Did not utilize free breakfast. A few minor upgrades and I would stay here longer. (To owner: a channel guide would have been nice also, but overall I liked the room, even though it doesn't sound like it. You can't fix what you don't know about, and I hope you take the criticizism in the spirit intended.) Almost a pleasing rating, but just not quite there. Hopefully next time. To the person who thought this was a Travelodge..reasonable mistake-they have Travelodge "Do not Disturb" signs. LOL

This hotel is easy to get to from I81. The young woman at check in was very friendly and accomodating. Therefore I wish I could give our experience a better review. But...the hotel's house keeping staff should be fired! There were long black hairs in the sink... no black hair in my family. One of the bath towels also had black hairs on it and one corner was damp - yuck! The beds seemed alright although the linens and blankets were old. The most positive thing I can say is that the hotel is pet friendly.

I was very appreciative of the management that wanted my stay to be positive. This is not by any means a luxurious place but it was clean, comfortable, and the management responded to my needs.

Room was small, but adequate. It was clean except for the edges near the walls. Staff was friendly and courteous, even calling shortly after check-in to see if the room was OK. It is located just off of I-81, so very convenient for travelers. Even with the closeness of the highway, I did not notice a lot of traffic noise.

I stopped here on my way somewhere else, and the people were nice, and the room was clean and comfortable. A very reasonable deal. I'd go back and probably will.w
