Lovely experience and wonderful staff!Posted Nov 30, 2014
Pros: Charachter and history of the building. Made the most of the building, did a really good job of it. But more than anything the host sold it to us!
Cons: Shower could have done with some attention, but not a massive deal.
Location: Bath and Bristol nearby, 20 minute drive at most. The nearby restaurant, The Old Station Carriage, was wonderful!
Friendly welcome and very helpful. Went the extra mile to help in any way possible, which was so lovely. To top that off, she really was a lovely lady and seemed to really care which is always nice. The breakfast was brilliant, we thoroughly enjoyed eating in the old courthouse, it was beautiful and there was so much to look at, our food nearly went cold!

Intriguing building, generally well-appointedPosted Nov 1, 2014 on Hotels.com
Interesting historic building, well furnished, attractive décor. Considerable road noise, standard length bed would fit tall people better without footboard, butter and marmalade pots were off-putting, as were bathroom toiletry jars.

A tired B&B in a tired village.Posted Oct 7, 2014
Location: The only pub in the village is closed down, as is the only takeaway, so need to drive to eat. Not close to any particular attration.
We were disappointed and glad we only stayed one night. On all counts, (friendliness, cleanliness, breakfast and the room) it was below average compared to other B&Bs we stayed in during a 2 week holiday in the UK.

Quirky but good,Posted Sep 13, 2014 on Hotels.com
Good Emails from Host to advise directions, recommend where to go for dinner ect. Reassuring that the booking has gone through. Nice welcome when we arrived and shown to the "Clarks Room" this the quirky bit Court House has its rooms named after former users. Did not find out until after breakfast, just how quirky. Also discovered an unused Jacuzzi (empty) and a sign pointing to a sauna. Nice comfy bed, tight squeeze in the shower but good hot jets. Nice breakfast so overall v/good.

geweldige servicePosted Aug 19, 2014 on Hotels.com

Posted Aug 12, 2014 on Hotels.com

Great historical buildingPosted Jul 16, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel is an old court building with quarters both for the judges and the convicts. The building and the gardens are very beautiful and the rooms are comfortable, even if not very clean.

For the first time I went to a hotel and leftPosted Jun 13, 2014
Awful rooms nothing like the advert, very bad service and bad admosphere. Lady told us our rooms where used by prisoners which where killed next day. It's a bed toilet shower all in one, same room. Cat walking in kitchen table, discussing smell and no staff after 9pm. Highly NOT recommended, there is a reason they do not do refunds! I called another hotel after 10 minutes.

Great B & B and excellent staff.Posted May 19, 2014
Pros: All aspects
Location: Good location in relation to Bath and other tourist spots nearby.
Our room was one of the converted gaol cells and was very comfortable. Breakfasts were very good and staff were extremely friendly and helpful with travel tips, etc.
