Accessible only by boat, this Virgin Gorda resort faces a long, gently curved beach and a protected, deep-water harbor; the picture-perfect Baths are 11 km (7 miles) away via water taxi.
Use of Bitter End's 100 watercraft, regatta racing on Sundays, introductory sailing lessons, and Monday night cocktail parties are all inclusive for guests staying on the Full American Plan. All watersports activities and fleet of boats are available for an additional fee for guests staying on the Bed & Breakfast plan.

Bitter End Yacht Club
The resort is fronted by a mile-long, gently curved shoreline with snorkeling spots offshore. Three white sand beaches are furnished with cushioned, weathered-teak lounge chairs, complimentary beach cabanas, chaise lounges and umbrellas. Video movies, usually beginning with a children's selection, are shown nightly in an open-air theater. Complimentary children's arts-and-crafts activities are hosted in an open-air thatched-roof hut Monday-Friday.
The hotel offers 1 conference room and can also provide event catering. Within the resort are clothing boutiques, arts-and-crafts shops, and a store offering wine, liquor, snack foods, and baked goods. Guests can indulge in the full-service spa located on site. The resort's marina includes 70 moorings and 14 slips as well as a fuel dock, electric hookups, a chandlery, and private showers and toilets dockside. A complimentary cocktail party with appetizers is held on Monday nights for all guests.
Clubhouse Steak & Seafood Grille - The Clubhouse menu features buffets and table service for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as cocktail service on the terrace all day and evening. Breakfast includes homemade pastries, eggs, pancakes, French toast and Belgian waffles. Lunch features a large selection of salads and cold cuts as well as fish sandwiches, hamburgers, and lobster cakes. Dinner features homemade soups, salads, pasta, freshly caught fish and lobster, as well poultry and steaks.
Almond Walk - Tuesday night West Indian buffet and live music in starlit, open-air setting near tropical almond trees.
The Clubhouse Bar - Cocktails and tropical drinks.
Poolside Bar - Varied menu with specials including Lobster salad and curried salad. Open from 8 AM to 5 PM daily, with lunch service from 12:15 - 2 PM.
The Pub - Featuring brick oven pizza, rum, beer, sandwiches, snack foods, and Winston Butler's dessert of the day. (Food not included in Full American Plan.) Nearby Things to Do
Use of the resort's fleet of 100 watercraft is complimentary for guests staying on the Full American Plan. The fleet includes 11-foot Boston Whaler motorboats, Hobie single and double kayaks, Alden rowing shells, various types of windsurfers, and sailboats such as Hunter 216s, Rhodes 19s, Lasers, Barnett 1400s, Vanguard 15s, and Hobie Waves. Also complimentary are Sunday Regatta racing aboard Lasers and Rhodes 19s. Beginners' and children's sailing lessons are complimentary.
Fees are charged for use of other vessels, including an eight-passenger racing sailboat. Available excursions include day sails aboard Cosmic Warlord, deep-sea and fly fishing, glass-bottom boat tours, and day and sunset sails aboard the Paranda racing catamaran (fees charged). Scuba-diving lessons are offered at the resort, as are excursions to reefs and such wreck sites as the RMS Rhone (fees charged). Sailing and windsurfing lessons from beginner up to advanced level are also available (fees charged).
Snorkeling is available off the resort's beaches. Use of fins is complimentary; snorkels and masks can be rented at the resort.
Bitter End kiteboarding on Eustatia Sound and North Sound features steady tradewinds, great launching beaches, and a variety of surface conditions ranging from flat water, to moderate chop. Sharpen your skills or learn to kite at Bitter End's in-house Carib Kiteboarding School - the only Kiteboarding School in the BVI.
Hiking trails include a short walk to a bird-sanctuary salt pond and a climb across the resort's forested hill. Illuminated for after-dark running, a 220-yard jogging path includes 16 exercise stations and an open-air fitness center.
From a landing site at the resort, a helicopter service provides sightseeing tours of Virgin Gorda and nearby islands (fee charged). Parasailing is also available (fee charged).
