“can't wait to go back”

This hotel on virgin gorda is beautiful. It is located in a quite place with it's own beaches. We will difently go back and stay.

“Getting there is an adventure in itself!”

Nail Bay is blessed with an abundance of natural beauty: flowers in every color, palm trees, pristine beach, great snorkeling, even the remains of an abandoned sugar mill. However, as of now, to get there one leaves the paved main road and, for slightly over a mile, one travels on a rutted road up, down, and around the volcanic hills, driving British style on the left hand side of the road, in a car designed for the American market, i.e., steering wheel on the left, and the deep blue sea is sometimes just over one's shoulder. However, after just a few days we adjusted to the road and think of it as part of a really wonderful adventure. The hotel is in a beautiful location. Also enjoyed climbing in, out, over, under, and through the labyrinth of boulders known as The Baths at Virgin Gorda. The road to the abandoned copper mine, and the mine itself, can take your breath away. All the people we met were genuinely friendly. Our deluxe hotel room had a kitchenette and the balcony had a gas grill. It was a good vacation.

“Pleasantly Surprised”

We were a little nervous having read some of the negative reviews but were pleasantly surprised to find a lovely resort with a clean, multi-roomed accommodation with many amenities. The appliances in the kitchen were spotless as well as the tableware. Our adult children were in a smaller bedroom with porch nearby but would join us for a self-made breakfast out on our large porch overlooking the bay. The restaurant had a limited menu but the food was surprisingly good. First thing we did was turn off the air conditioning, open the windows and enjoyed the ocean breezes. Waking at night to listen to the tree frogs and the pounding surf at a distance was especially enjoyable. The staff at the front desk weren't very knowledgeable about things beyond the resort so we had to do some work at finding a day sailing trip. The beaches around the resort are small but pretty. Don't lose your room key like we did. It cost us $90. We would recommend this resort as a good home base.
