West End Jewel

Posted Jun 19, 2014
Pros: The location, the sand, the rum, the restaurant.
Cons: The staff at check in could be a little more attentive. The girl at the desk was on the telephone (sounded like a personal call) when we arrived.
Location: Restaurant and beach is right on property. Swimming was great!!
We traveled from Los Angeles and flew into Beef Island. We weren't excited about the 40 minute cab ride across the island, but when we got there, it was SO worth it. The beach sand is like sugar, the place is secluded, but with their own restaurant, and even though they close the restaurant at 9 pm, they kept it open until 10:15 pm just for us to have dinner. The meal was amazing. The staff at check-in was a little disappointing, but the rest of the experience made up for it. And after dinner, they give you a free shot of sipping rum. I'm not much of a drinker, but I loved the rum and we bought two bottles, which we consumed before we left BVI 5 days later. The property is not new, but very well kept up. If we ever go back, we will definitely stay here again!

Two night stay

Posted Apr 18, 2014
Pros: The setting -- beautiful beach.
Cons: Office staff could be more cordial.
Location: We did not take advantage of leaving the hotel property.
Beautiful setting and very reasonably priced. We had a very nice server both mornings were were there, the manager introduced herself to us and was very friendly. Although we elected not to have any service in our room, the service workers seemed very pleasant. The office staff, however, were either difficult to understand or were not very friendly. It would be nice if guests were advised to make dinner reservations when they check in.

No Water - Major Plumbing Issues

Posted Mar 31, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: service, plumbing issues
We had no water for the entire evening of our stay here. The front desk could not have cared less and refused to adjust our bill. While the service is abominable and the plumbing equally so, the hotel is ideally situated on beautiful Apple Bay and the prices are reasonable for clean air conditioned rooms right on the sand. For a short stay before boarding a charter it's OK, but wouldn't want to be here very long. Just remember to put your armor on before you deal with the staff!

Outstanding beachfront!

Posted Mar 17, 2014
The restaurant was a nice surprise, very good breakfast and dinners! The hotel's beach has strong surf and the sand is soft powder. Little Apple Bay has few facilities and to taxi into Cane Garden Bay ($24) or Road Town ($30) - each way- does add up. The room itself was clean, though older, but the a/c fan was quite loud, blowing onto the bed, and the screens were not mosquito proof. The hotel grounds were very well kept and well appointed. Staff were friendly and helpful, do reserve a table on the veranda as the view is incomparable!

This Small Hotel Works

Posted Feb 15, 2014
Pros: Internet
If you're looking for a fancy, plush hotel, this is not for you. This is a comfortable, back to basic establishment that that maybe will bring you back. As someone commented, less is best. The resturant food was very good. We also got a chance to meet a number of interesting guests which is not always the case at other places we've stayed.

THE BEST!

Posted Feb 2, 2014
Pros: Friendly atmosphere.
Cons: I can't think of anything.....
Location: Beautiful beaches.
This was my first experience on land in Anegada and I made the right choice by staying at Neptune's Treasure. From the first minute walking on the property until the last day, the staff was friendly and helpful. What a location! What a view! What a fun Happy Hour! How relaxing! We felt that we were at a friend's weekend party for the three days we were there. Next trip we will definitely stay longer and visit one of the other islands for a few days. Don't hesitate to stay at Neptune's and enjoy every minute of your vacation. These owners have created a friendly, welcoming atmosphere that you can't find everywhere. We can't wait to go back!

Cheap hotel on the beach

Posted Feb 1, 2014
Pros: Its on the beach, just a few steps from the room.
Cons: Total facility renovation, do not include the tip in the bill.
For the price, recommend only short stays, e.g., one night. Outdated and tired looking on par with an older hotel. Bed had a board between the box spring and mattress for firmness, numerous roosters started crowing at dawn outside the window, hard fruit/nuts were falling on the tin roof throughout the night (we were on the upper floor on the courtyard), no safe in the rooms. Don't bother with the villas, there is no beach there. Good beach for surfing. Unhappy wait staff, but the 15% tip is always included in the bill (rarely deserved). Cheap booze in the drinks. Food was okay but nothing to boast about.

BEAUTIFUL beach and great island-feel room.

Posted Jan 31, 2014
Pros: Laid back, genuine, perfect beach
Cons: Nothing that wouldn't ruin the personality
Location: Bomba shack for funky atmosphere type bar. D' Copper Pot restaurant just around the corner was excellent and the hotel restaurant was very good.
Off the beaten path hotel experience. Incredibly nice beach with awesome views, nice trees to lay beach chairs under. Great food at the restaurant, relatively decent price. Hotel and room are very island-style and spacious. This is not a pristine, knock-off high-rise resort, which to us made it perfect. Feels genuine and no so touristy. Staff was very nice. We considered this place a very lucky find for a 3-day wind-down of a sailing vacation the previous week. Again, not a modern "resort"...slow pace, beautiful views and spacious island-vibe room. It's a taxi ride or a healthy hike to any of the more populated areas. We loved it.

Poor staffing

Posted Jan 27, 2014
We waited 40 minute for an appetizer and salad at lunch, but the food for another table was brought out to us. The excuse was they were busy and got confused, but only 3-4 tables were occupied. Our food finally came about 10 minutes later. It was decent. Breakfast the next morning came in a timely manner.
