A magnet for visitors who travel to the dynamic city of Rochester, Brockport has a great deal to offer tourists. The heart of Rochester is only 17 miles (27 kilometers) away, while Greater Rochester International Airport is located 15 miles (24 kilometers) to the southwest of Brockport.

Brockport is a popular place to visit in Rochester as a large number of the area’s most popular attractions are close. Two of the most interesting places to explore are the marvelous Victorian Doll Museum and Chili Doll Hospital and the incredible Mall at Greece Ridge. Do make the effort to see some of the nearby museums and galleries, which help make the area such a great vacation choice. There are many excellent places visitors can pay a visit to for a couple of hours including the George Eastman House, the Rochester Museum and Science Center and the Strong National Museum of Play. Enjoy seeing established and up-and-coming artists strut their stuff at the Rochester Auditorium Theater, the Geva Theatre Center and the Downstairs Cabaret Theater. Acclaimed art galleries, include the Memorial Art Gallery.

Looking for ways to keep the kids busy? Discover some of the child-friendly close by. Take photos, admire the exhibits and discover animal biodiversity at the Seneca Park Zoo.

To surround yourself with nature, head to the nearby parks and reserves. These are good spots to relax and unwind. When the weather’s fine, pay a visit to Highland Park, Seneca Park and Maplewood Park, one of the places where you can enjoy some time outdoors. If you are up for a walk drive out to a local beach, for example the Ontario Beach Park.

Head to Marketplace Mall for some retail therapy.

Frontier Field is a great place to spend an afternoon enjoying baseball, and to see local heroes, the Rochester Red Wings, in action. On game days the area around the stadium becomes a sea of black, red, yellow and white, as local baseball lovers come together to get behind their home-grown heroes.
