“Bronx Bomber”

It was a fantastic experience. First of all it was next to the New York Police Department and one mile away from Yankee Stadium. It's up to you New York - New York. They helped us get a taxi to the Yankees game. It was a beautiful day for a game. The Yankees won. Derek Jeter played terrific and the hotel experience was great.

“Perfect place to stay after a Yankee Game”

I was very pleasantly surprised by this hotel. I went to the last game ever at Yankee Stadium and wanted a convenient place to stay. They far exceeded my expectations. As soon as I got to my room I called the front desk and asked if they could get me a taxi to the stadium. Not only was it there in less than 5 minutes, but it was a luxury SUV and we were only charged $10 for the ride. The hotel room was fine. Maybe a tiny bit smaller than the average room, but it was no problem. The bathrooms had granite counter tops and the showers were immaculate!

“Yankee Stadim Howard Johnson”

I was very pleased from my recent stay the Yankee Stadium Howard Johnson. I did get lost in the Bronx, however, and could have used better directions from the desk clerk. Otherwise everything was fine. I would stay there again if I was going to a Yankee game. The person atthe desk was very helpful.

“Nice Hotel”

I liked this hotel. It was clean and the service was good. The people at the desk were courteous were well informed. Had gone for New Year's to New York and this was the closest I could get to Times Square for a reasonable rate. The neighbourhood seemed safe, since there is a police stattion right beside it. Being a first timer at New York, the walk from the subway to the hotel seemed daunting so we took cabs at night which takes only 5 mins. Anyway I recommend this hotel. Its quiet and clean and confortable.

“A reasonable place”

Cons: Hotel is in BRONX and the eighbourhood is not good. Close to high way, very noisy. Pros: Rate is very reasonable. Front desk is very friendly and patient, helped me order lunch (took him ~mins on the line, etc.), and explained to me the surrounding area and how to get arond in the city, etc. I initially booked 2 nights Non-Refundabl.e, but I missed my flight and couldn't use the first night. Called Expedia and Expedia put me on hold and called the hotel and they kindly cancel my first night reservation without charge. Overall, a good hotel but with glitches, but if you have more money to spend, you can always live in Manhaton. P.S. Safety shouldn't be a problem, since Police Statis is only 20 feet away

“Short walk to Yankee Stadium”

There was nothing luxurious here, just the basics... but overall clean, comfortable and a good price for a quick trip to see the Red Sox play the at the new Yankee Stadium. The mile walk to the park was a little schetchy thru the Bronx- I might have taken a taxi if it were night time. Free secure parking made this hotel a real bargain.

“Really friendly staff”

We were looking for a quick overnight place to stay after a NYC concert, on short notice. I think you know what you'll get with a HoJo - not fancy by any means, but it was clean and comfortable. What impressed me most was the staff. They were as friendly as could be and not what an out of towner might expect from a Bronx hotel. Very accommodating and I'd stay there again. Plus, the police station is right next door if you're worried about safety :-)

“Decent Hotel”

The hotel was fine for a place to stay. The staff at the front desk were nice and helpful with my questions. The parking deck was good to park my car and a police precinct next door doesn't hurt. The room was comfortable and clean, about what you would expect. The hotel is difficult to navigate to by car and public transportation is a ten minute walk. Taxi driver from midtown have trouble finding hotel. About 15 minute walk to Yankee Stadium.

“Helpful Staff”

The staff at the hotel was very helpful and friendly. The only drawback was the hotel didn't have an elevator which wasn't a problem so much for a short stay with only a few trips up and down the steep stairs.

Nice clean room, reasonably priced (for NYC).
