Would stay here again!

Posted Mar 4, 2015
Pros: Spacious rooms, excellent staff, close to all.
Cons: none
Location: Close to BU, T, shopping, restaurants
Wonderful little hotel: close to Boston University, restaurants and local attractions. Jeff at the front desk provided 5 star service for us, and every guest we saw him with throughout our stay. From room change at arrival to parking garage set up, restaurant suggestions to reservations, to items delivered to our room, Jeff set the tone with excellent follow-through and a professional can-do attitude. Add to that: excellent service at the warm and friendly bar area, a delicious brunch with a wait staff that was on their game, and a courteous and accommodating housekeeping staff. Our group commented several times that we would gladly stay here again.

Decent, but some problems

Posted Feb 19, 2015
The hotel was fine. It is exactly what you would expect from a Holiday Inn. The room was small but clean. The bathroom was a disappointment simply because there is a "half" tub; it is kind of a shower, but with a mini tub. The problem I had was the noise from the other guests. There is a truly bizarre indoor pool smack dab in the middle of their indoor "courtyard". My room was unfortunately right next to it. Therefore it was 24-7 yelling from the pool. During the day it was mostly young kids, which I can tolerate, because that's what kids do. However the pool is supposed to be closed at 9am, and almost every night there were people partying at the pool, sometimes at 2am. I didn't want to be the jerk that called and complained, so I let it go. What surprised me is that I can't image the front desk couldn't hear them, and nothing was done. So if you are over 21 and want a good night sleep, I'd pass, or at least request to be as far from the pool as possible.

Very pleasant staff.

Posted Feb 18, 2015
Location: Good location, quick walk to Coolidge Corner. Train station out front for easy access to Boston.
Stayed over during one of the blizzards, the staff was very accommodating and friendly in what must be a rather tiresome occurrence for them. We had a suite, and the sofa was uncomfortable so that was a disappointment-we were looking forward to relaxing there since the off-site activities were limited to walking in the snow. The air temperature control wasn't very good either, but the bed was comfy and the room was clean. Comfortable bar and breakfast space downstairs and adequate buffet food (biscuit sandwiches were good, sausages inedible according to my teenage sons). Nice to have a parking garage but don't bring your Expedition. Overall a good place to stay.

The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. We were in town for a squash tournament and it was close to Harvard's Murr center and to the center of Boston.

séjour de 4 jours à Boston en janvier

Posted Jan 10, 2015

Comfortable beds and pillows

Posted Dec 12, 2014
Nice linens and towels. In room refrigerator and microwave were a plus. Unfortunately the bathroom was poorly cleaned, leaving an accumulation of crud along the edges and corners of the tile floor and shower surround. The lack of any lighting in the clothes closet needs to be corrected

Nice hotel which is steps from the T

Posted Dec 5, 2014
Pros: Just steps to the T.
Cons: Complimentary airport shuttle would be nice. Kind of expensive by cab.
Location: Shop or eat at Coolidge Corner. Hop on the T to visit downtown Boston. Short walk or cab ride to BU.
This hotel is just steps to the T and minutes to downtown. Also walking distance to Coolidge Corner shops.
