“I love this place!”
This place is really cool. I stayed in the smallest room, which is on the 2nd floor with the breakfast kitchen and library. These folks are super nice, and did a fantastic job fixing the place up - great paint colors, cool Ikea furniture - but left all the great 1800's features like the wood details and ceramic cloor tiles in the bathroom. The kitchen was stocked with all kinds of yummy organic(!) breakfast items. I stuck with the coffee (which was made for me every morning), whole grain cereal with chocolate soy milk, blueberries, and oranges, although there were fresh pastries available every day along with organic cow milk, english muffins, tea, etc. The library has a computer with internet you can use, and they have a great collection of books - novels, art books, travel info for NYC, and so on. The B&B is a stone's throw away from the Franklin St. A, C, and S subway stop, getting me up to mid-Manhattan in about 45 minutes. I really enjoyed my stay. This is a really special place.
