“Not impressed”

Never get a room with an adjoining door. We had a family of four with two young kids next door. They kept us up all night! The parents were fighting over one of the kids who was sick and to top if off the kid would cry every evening. There was not a good nights rest for our three night stay. We were woken up every evening. The hotel didn't do anything and the parents were like, well what can we do he's young? Again the hotel was no help.

“Happy Regulars”

This hotel never disappoints. We stay here when visiting family and lately that has become more frequent due to aging parents. We always feel "at home" here. The rooms are comfortable, attractively decorated, and this time we lucked out with a balcony room (half of the rooms have balconies, so it is luck of the draw). The beds are to die for, we'd like to take one home with us, soft cushy comfort on top of firm support, perfect. And having free Internet available in the lobby area, right next to free 24-hour coffee service, is a real bonus. Small pool looks great, altho we've never had time to jump in. Nice little "Market" next to check-in area provides opportunity to buy cold beverages, ice cream, other snacks, yogurt, even frozen dinner entrees, with microwave oven right there. Overall, we love Courtyard, and will continue to stay here! We highly recommend it.

Area recommendations

East side of Milwaukee has always been "hip", is gorgeous and chock full of things to see and do -- University of Wisconsin campus, new design winning Art Center on Lake Michigan shore, Old World Third Street area with great shops including original Usinger's Sausage, Lake Michigan's impressive western shoreline, Downer Avenue, Summerfest Grounds, coffee shops, shopping etc.
