“It's alright”

the hotel is fine. the pool is clean, the building itself is kind of old. the A/C unit at the room did not work to its full potential so it helped to have pool access to cool off every morning. It is a modest hotel for short vacations.

Getting around
If you plan to go to South Padre Island, i suggest finding a hotel ON the island to save you the trouble of driving everyday.

“Bad Hotel”

The pool wass filthy. The room had a musty smell. Almost acceptable considering the humidty in the area. However the bathroom had clean towels but obviously had not been cleaned. Used glasses on counter and used soap and shampoo in tub. Tub full of hair. The staff is very nice. But the comfort and cleanliness is vital and although I amnd other family members stay in Brownsville frequently, we will not stay there.

“Great Hotel for the Price”

Great location and the pool was bigger than the pictures online. The rooms were good size but make sure you pay a little extra for the queen beds if traveling with kids. Located near lots of places to eat and activities.

Traveler's tip
Better than spending 2x or 3x as much at South Padre Isalnd, TX and its less than an hour away.
