It was ok, I would not book at this Hotel again. Toilet ran constantly, water pressure to low to take a good shower. Receive room with two queen beds instead of one King size bed.

A fine place to stay

Posted Aug 12, 2014 on Hotels.com
Comfort Inn & Suites is a fine place to stay, though it certainly has its issues. The breakfast can ruin one's appetite, though the waffle maker puts out some pretty good waffles. I found it off-putting that I had to wear a wristband in order to gain access to the breakfast and pool, especially since I was in town for a funeral and thought a day-glo orange band would not contribute to an appropriately somber outfit. I declined to wear the band and no one stopped me anyway, so I am not really sure what the point of that thing was. The inner door handle in my room ripped free of the door on our final night, though I was able to reattach it long enough to escape. And the shower drained so slowly that by the end of my shower, I was calf-deep in soapy water. Aside from that, the room itself was fine. We had a sort-of living area separated from the bedroom with a door you could close. This is helpful when trying to put a small child to bed. Each room had its own TV, so we could watch TV while the kid fell asleep. There was an iron, ironing board, microwave, and refrigerator in the room. Everything was nice and clean and the staff was friendly and responsive. Despite its quirks, the hotel served us well. I'll probably stay here again the next time I visit Harlingen.

worst stay

Posted Aug 7, 2014 on Hotels.com
I was pretty happy with the hotel when I checked in. The room was clean but missing an iron. I asked for an iron twice before it was one was sent. The next morning during breakfast I wasn't allowed to bring my breakfast back to my room. My kids did not eat because they were sleeping. I have never stayed at a hotel where food was not allowed to be brought back to the rooms. Our roon key stoped working 3 hours before check out time. Overall it was the worst hotel stay I have experienced.

1 huge problem

Posted Aug 4, 2014
Our stay at the Country Inn was unpleasant due to the desk lady up front. Her attitude from the get go was unfriendly. She gave us our access cards to the hotel and to our surprise it was an occupied room. She insisted it was empty, but the luggage, messy beds, and lights on were enough evidence to declare otherwise. She ended up giving us a new room without apologizing. In the middle of the night, she called to tell us that she gave us the wrong room. Are you kidding me?!? She made the mistake since our arrival and now expected us to move rooms in the middle of the night. On top of all that, she changed our access cards and told me I was wrong when I told her the room i was staying in. Never staying there again.
