“Best Value”

I found everything tat I expect to be standard in any Coutyard I go to in any U.S. city. Essentially, no surprises, but reliability.

Excellent service, extremely clena, good location in Harlingen, and very comfortable. Very satisfied with stay and will only go back to this hotel when we visit again.

Centrally located hotel in the valley.Staff was very nice.Room had every thing I want in a hotel,desk,balcony,nice pool,bar,and restaurant.Morning breakfast buffet was a great value.Its the only place I wiil stay in the valley.The only thing I missed was pay per view movies.

“Just a minor flaw”

Had a good stay although I had to walk to go to a resturant on Friday evening. The shuttle was doing another call. Then in the morning when I needed a ride to the airport I had to wait 15min for another shuttle.

“Staff Helpful and Friendly”

The hotel was great and the staff was extreamly courteous and helpful. This was the secound stay at the hotel and the service and comfort remained consistent. Would recommend the Courtyard Marriott in Harlingen as the place to stay.

This is a nice hotel and very close to the freeway. Only minuts away from the airport. Good restaurants nearby.

“Not Impressed”

When I checked in, the desk clerk gave me directions to my room location. He told me that I could either go through the lobby to my room or park at the back of the hotel and go through the rear entrance. He said that it would be equal distance. After walking through the lobby and quite some distance down three hallways, I located my room and realized that the back door that he mentioned was just three doors down from my room. After that I parked at the back and used the rear entrance. Initially I scanned the room to make sure it would work, then left to visit relatives. When I returned later that night and started to settle in, I found feces in the toilet (evidently not flushed when the room was readied) and a cold French fry between the seat cushions of the sofa. This is not something I expect from a Marriott. The bed was comfortable. The thermostat was easy to use and worked well. On the downside the shower and sink areas were not well lit. I am sure that I can find comparable accomodations at another hotel next time I visit, and I won't be staying at the Marriot.
