Good continental breakfast

Posted Feb 28, 2014
Pros: A smiling, "real" person at the front desk -- and this is not the only Comfort Inn where we've experienced similar. Room was nice and clean.
Cons: We did have loud "clompers" upstairs from us until fairly late one night. Not something that the motel could anticipate, of course.
Location: Early is part of Brownwood, Texas, an ugly trainwreck of a town, in my opinion. There's a muddy lake nearby, and PLENTY of fast food chains.
Our three day stay (wife and I) was because of unpleasant business we had to attend to in Early. At the end of some harrowing days, it was nice to see the smiling faces of the staff, especially Brooks, who went out of her way to be friendly and helpful. We had to start the days early, and it was great to have that continental breakfast beginning at six a.m., which saved us having to go find a place to eat. Unlike some hotels, Comfort Inn has a real breakfast offering, from eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, gravy, etc., to cold cerals, fresh fruit, made-on-the-spot waffles... you get the picture. Even the coffee was good.
