Pros: Large bath tub, comfy bed
Cons: The pillows are small but you can just ask and they will bring you more.
We had arrived early cause we traveled by ferry. Cause our room wasn't ready the staff stored our luggage in a locked room till check in. The location is excellent 1 minute from the half man brewey and the diamond musseum and Just a 10 min walk from the main market square. In the old town. Will definitely stay here again

Really nice hotel tucked away in beautiful BruggePosted Nov 3, 2013
This is a really nice hotel with very friendly staff and beautifully spacious, clean rooms. Top location within five minutes walk of all the main areas of interest. Perfect for a family get away.

Academie Hotel worth a look!Posted Oct 29, 2013
Pros: Location. Cleanliness. Pleasant staff.
Cons: Ease of operating air con in the room.
Location: Excellent location for us, as it was located halfway between Bruges railway station and the beautiful historic centre. Close to lovely Minnewater Park
It was fine. Clean, and comfortable. Nice layout. Intimate bar area. Breakfast room had lovely old brickwork and subtle lighting.

Good locality but would not recommend hotelPosted Sep 25, 2013
Pros: Its location.
Cons: The towels, the tea/coffee in room facilities, the breakfast room, the décor - and please, please remove or replace the fridges in the rooms.
Location: Bruges is beautiful and would highly recommend a visit.
Hotel is located in a good position as it is close to centre of Bruges but in a quiet side street. However, there is no way I would describe this hotel as 4 star. My wife and I stayed there over the weekend and were given a dark room on the first floor. The bed was very low but fairly comfortable. The bathroom was clean. BUT the bath towels provided were the smallest I have ever seen and only marginally bigger than the hand towels! Although there were tea and coffee facilities in the room there were only two tea bags provided and two small sachets of coffee. If you required more then you had to pay. There was a small fridge in the bedroom but this wasn't built in and was free standing. It made the most horrible noise when the compressor came on (which was about every 20 mins through the night). It woke both my wife and myself on many occasions. We had booked the hotel on an inclusive basis and breakfast was included in the price. This was great as after the first morning we went an found a café across the road for the rest of our stay as the breakfast room was more like the lounge of a retirement home than a 4 star hotel. The breakfast provided was of reasonable quality. If we had booked a 3 star hotel then I don't think we would have been so disappointed. It was as this was listed as a 4 star (and we have stayed in 4 star hotels many times both at home and abroad) we expected much better. If you want a 4 star experience - avoid this hotel.

Great LocationPosted Sep 2, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel really is in a good location - it's only a short walk (past lots of chocolate shops) to the main 'Markt' square and other sights. Our room was on the 3rd floor, and had a nice view over the rooftops of Bruges. Can't really fault the service at the hotel - they provided me with gluten-free bread at breakfast, (I had emailed them in advance). Overall great value for money and I would recommend the Academie to others.

Cons: Bar, restaurant
Location: picturesque town, lots of photos taken, very nice cafes
Its only the bar was a bit worse than we expected but you can walk to any restaurants easily.
