“Cozy and convenient”

Very cozy hotel and central location in town. Friendly staff who all speak english. Takes pets. Breakfast was typical european style...very good and enjoyable. I would definitely stay there again.

“Excellent central location”

All central hotels seemed a little pricey in Bruges but this was one of the cheaper ones, the room we had was quite large, clean and staff were very helpful. It's location is very central and easy 5 min walk to the main square where the belfrey is located. There is a fantastic flemish Restaurant just 1 minute walk away which I thoroughly recommend ... the stew was fantastic. You can park in their car park for 15 Euros per day or there are cheaper local multi storey car parks with in 5-10 mins walk.

“Cozy habitat in quiet, well-placed location”

Located off the main shopping street next to a canal, the Azalea Hotel is a welcoming, serene retreat from the bustle of Bruges's main tourist district. It is a family operated inn with charming rooms that are well equipped and perhaps slightly larger than typical in Europe. The main floor salon, bar, and breakfast rooms are charming and nicely furnished. The breakfast buffet is ample and delicious. The hotel staff are mostly fluent in English. A great value in an often pricey area.

“Great little hotel in downtown Brugge”

This hotel is perfectly located for walking around the old city of Brugge. Clean, comfortable and reasonably priced, it's all one could ask for.

“Definitely recommended”

A welcoming, friendly, family-run hotel with good location and good breakfasts. The bar is cosy and offers a good value range of drinks in the evenings. It's staffed by the night porters who are friendly and invaluable for local advice. Only negative was the housekeeping staff kept turning the radiator thermostats down. A bit harsh in winter, but easy for us to turn on again when we came back in the afternoon.

“Very friendly hotel with baby sitting service”

The staff were great and the baby sitting service was wonderful. Parts of the hotel were a little tired but it all added to the charm.

“A real Gem”

Stayed at this hotel in February for a long weeknd and was delighted with the place: The staff are fantastic. With a night porter whose a mine of helpful information, and a real character. The hotel architecture is great with a terrific winding staircase and also very pleasant period furniture - which is not all in 'tip top' condition, but thats absolutely all part of the charm! Its an individual hotel away from the irritating uniformity of the 'star' system. The breakfast was generous and served in a lovely room. The pleasant room we had was only slightly marred by the double bed made up of two singles. All in all, although Brugge is a handsome place its small and you wouldn't necessarily come for a second trip - I would however come back specifically to stay at this truly charming place.

“Very Cozy Hotel”

Upon arriving in Bruges, we got extremely lost. Our first encounter with the hotel was my desperate call for help to the front desk staff. They were very patient and guided us right to the front door. The staff was wonderful! When we got to our room, we were a little shocked by the small size of the room, but it was quite charming. The bed was very comfortable and we had everything that we needed. The next morning we went down and had their buffet breakfast, which was excellent. When we were ready to leave, they even offered to take our picture for us. The location was great too. It was far enough away from the madness, but close enough to comfortably walk to everything. Overall, we had a GREAT stay and would definately go back.
