Bruges breakPosted Aug 15, 2014
Pros: Friendly, helpful staff. Varied good breakfast. Comfortable room. Grandness of the original building.
Cons: Nothing specifically other than possibly updating some aspects of the bedroom.
Location: Excellent location. All the major sites are very close at hand - wonderful buildings, churches, museums, chocolate shops and canal side walks.
The original building was grand and classic, the newer building, where our room was, had a much more uniform feel and look but was still very pleasant. Our room was comfortable and the bathroom very good, but the bed cover and furnishing at the back of the bed looked tired and slightly worn - although the bed itself was extremely comfortable. Our room had a canal view but it was quite a limited view, and if you are of only average height it wasn't easy actually seeing the view as the window was quite high and the window sill very thick. Breakfast was very good and varied, but costly if not already included in your room price (as ours was). Parking was also expensive, much cheaper parking is available in Bruges if it isn't essential that your car is immediately available to you.

Wonderful atmospheric hotel very centralPosted Aug 9, 2014
Pros: The décor especially and it's central location
Cons: Absolutely nothing!
Location: Located near the historic centre of Bruges, with views over one of the main canals at the rear. Take a boat ride around the canals to see more
This hotel was very central and boasted fantastic opulent and grand décor. It was spotless and the staff friendly and attentive. Our room was located in the older part of the hotel and had an imposing vaulted beamed roof, with a very large bathroom

Pros: Location, style, facilities and friendly staff
Cons: Free onsite parking would be great, even parking at a cheaper rate would be a benefit

Cleanliness to a new levelPosted Jul 27, 2014
Cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in, and I've stayed in a lot of nice hotels around the world considerably more expensive. Great location, beautiful hotel, superb value. I plan to return to Bruges as the place is incredible. I will be staying at the Grand Hotel Casselberg without doubt.

One of the best hotels that I ever hosted inPosted Jul 17, 2014
Pros: Location, Decor, Service
Location: Grand Hotel Casselbergh Bruges is located in the center of historical Bruges, a minute from the market center and the Stadhuis
Grand Hotel Casselbergh Bruges is located in the center of historical Bruges, a minute from the market center and the Stadhuis. The service of the front desk was impeccable throughout our stay and any need that we had, was provided. The room was better than promised. Since we are a party of 4, we took the Quadruple duplex room that looked great in the hotel’s pictures. In reality it looked even better! A two story highest room with an internal staircase with wood all over and most comfortable beds and furniture. The bathroom was terrific with L'occitane products. The breakfast was very good as well.

Maria....Co DurhamPosted Jul 15, 2014
Pros: The hotel is very clean and beautifully appointed and its location could not have been better.
Cons: The annoying buzz of the air conditioning running through the new part of the hotel.
Location: The location of this hotel is in the perfect spot . It is in the heart of the city only two minutes walk from the market square.
Had a three night stay at the Grand hotel. In a perfect location for looking round the lovely city of Brugge. The hotel is a picture, clean, quiet and the staff were lovely. We where in the new part of the hotel overlooking the canal. The room was very nice but had a annoying buzz from what we thought was the general air con of the hotel. This went on all night therefore we did not sleep to well. The bathroom was first class. The stay included breakfast which was served in the lovely dinning room. There was plenty of choice with English style and continental breakfast available all very nice. All in all would not hesitate to make a return visit.
