Great Hotel near the canalPosted Sep 10, 2013
Pros: The staff and the location
Cons: The room we were in needs some decor upgrading in the bathroom, the costs of afternoon tea was way to expensive but thats hotel prices.
Location: everything you want to see is near to this hotel
The hotel is centrally located and is close to everything you want to see in Bruges The staff are friendly and helpful.

DisappointingPosted Sep 8, 2013
Pros: Beautiful building and very good central location.
Cons: Staff attitude and behaviour. Implementation of food services to cover different parts of the day with a reasonable length menu.
Sullen staff. No restaurant facilities (apart from afternoon tea) for dinner or room service. Very little cooperation from what is billed as a top luxury hotel.

Great boutique hotelPosted Aug 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
Hotel location is perfect to explore city. Our room was not very big, but size is very reasonable for Europe, especially considering central location. Valet parking is convenient, just make sure you give enough time to get your car back because it's almost 10 minutes drive from the garage to hotel even though you can walk there in 2 minutes max. Service was excellent and I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Luxury hotel for special timesPosted Jul 11, 2013
Pros: Quality of service, decour and staff
Cons: Nothing. You'd have to be unfairly demanding to find fault
Location: Perfect, right at the centre of town but still quiet and relaxing
A fantastic place to relax and enjoy yourselves. At the heart of Bruges, but still peaceful, elegant and still individual. A real treasure.

Lovely staffPosted May 28, 2013
Stayed for our wedding anniversary. Lovely hotel, very friendly staff and beautifully decorated. This is probably in one of the best locations in Bruges as it overlooks the canal although you will have to pay more for a canal view... Martine was extremely helpful and booked two restaurants for us- they were both excellent! The only negatives: 1.Toiletries not replaced so ran quite low on the shampoo! 2.NOTE: Avoid room 103: There are two doors that you have to enter to get into the hotel, room 103 is actually situated BEFORE the second door! Almost like you're not part of the hotel...We felt sorry for whoever was staying there!

Charm, Character and Location in BrugesPosted May 26, 2013
Pros: Character and location.
Cons: Honestly nothing we could put here. Really satisfied our requirements.
Location: A few minutes walk from Grote Markt square (where we found a great little breakfast spot) and right beside a canal cruise pick up point.
What a great find this hotel was! We arrived in Bruges on what could best be described as a wet and cold day but everything about this hotel was warm and inviting including the reception we received despite arriving an hour before the official check in time. Our room, located on the first floor, was a charmer with the lace bed linen and the rooms official minder Ted E. Bear whom we found on arrival to be relaxing in the middle of the bed. The place itself exuded character with the quiet little break out area on the first floor landing and the added character of the gentle creaking underfoot of the old wooden stairs leading up from the ground floor. The hotel terrace overlooking the canal would be a perfect spot to spend some time with a coffee or wine (when the weather isn't miserably wet and cold). Would definitely return to this hotel.

excellent location, fantastic staff, expensivePosted May 9, 2013
Pros: lovely staff, beautiful building, very central
Cons: 25E for breakfast!
Location: very central. perfect location.
the receptionist was lovely and showed us to our room which was on the ground floor behind reception. we could hear the comings and goings in the reception and the windows opened directly onto the street. there was a yellow A3 poster in the window advertising a local event. there was no safe and no tea/coffee making facilities. Not something one would expect in their hotel room, especially not one costing £145 per night. the beds were two singles that had been pushed together to make a double. We went to reception and they said that all the beds are singles that are pushed together. but they had one more room available that they could show us. We were taken upstairs to room 214. the decor was rather pink but looked lovely. the bathroom was very luxurious and there was a safe and dressing area. we accepted the room and the lady said that she would move all our stuff from the previous room while we went out again into Bruges. we later found out that our new room was the junior suite and should have been 350E per night! it was large, the furnishings were great but there was a lack of attention to detail. some handles were missing from the drawers and there was a welcome letter for the previous occupant in one of the drawers. there was no tea/coffee facilities, but there was a safe. The location is excellent. just off the main square and centrally located for everything. Overall, the building is beautiful, the staff are lovely but the rooms are expensive for what they are.

Close to city centerPosted Apr 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
Hotel very expensive for such a small room. Breakfast was not included with room cost and was 25 euros. Too expensive. WiFi worked half way in room. Had to go in hall to connect.
