Beautifully restored palace with stylePosted Jul 18, 2014
Pros: The garden. The beautiful building. The service. The food. And so much more!
Cons: There did not appear to be controls for the air con.
Location: Excellent central location. Close to everything you could wish to do in Bruges.
Fantastic palace hotel in the heart of Bruges. Staff are helpful and well trained. Food is excellent, we had dinner in the Manuscript restaurant but decided to take breakfast at local cafes which were much cheaper and enabled you feel the local atmosphere. Our standard room was spacious and comfortably furnished with a beautiful large bathroom with bath and separate shower and heated floor. The hotel garden is wonderful! Just sit out and chill and listen to the chimes while treating yourself from the excellent bar.

A beautiful hotel in a wonderful City.Posted Jul 17, 2014
Pros: Really everything. My family is still raving about the morning buffet. The staff was exceptional in attending to our needs.
Cons: Keep it just as it is.
Location: Easy walking to the market square, the beautiful churches and points of interest. Make sure to try the local waffles with fruit and chocolate.
This hotel is located in a beautiful facility that is centrally located in Bruges. It is easy to walk to most points of interest in the city. We had two rooms to accomodate my family.

Looks great, service and maintenance not so good.Posted Jul 14, 2014
The building is amazing. It is a well maintained chateau. However, the service is very poor, bad plumbing with almost no water pressure in a basic shower. I wouldn't recommend the place unless it is for sightseeing.

Historic Property in a Heart of BruggesPosted Jul 10, 2014
Pros: Location. Breakfast.
Cons: More welcoming staff, air conditioning, wifi.
Location: In heart of historic Brugges. Everything a tourist wants to do us in walking distance.
Pros: Hotel is historic building, great breakfast buffet, location. Cons: We were told we were getting a room with city skyline view. They gave us a room with view of air conditioning ducts and wall of a neighboring building. When we asked about the discrepancy, the front desk clerk accused me of lying about the room we were promised. After a lengthy conversation and request to speak to manager, the staff managed to "find" a room that matched our reservation. The air conditioner in our room did not work and the wifi kept cutting out. Lights go out in the spa at 9p.m.--Sharp. Leaving guests in complete darkness. Overall, we were disappointed in hotel staff and poor wifi. It just didn't match expectations or high rates.

Not a 5 star hotel as suggestedPosted Jul 8, 2014
Although a nice hotel the facilties were limited and the pool does not exist anymore. The electricity failed and there was no apology. I would expect a whole lot more from a 5 star hotel. A Lot of money for a poor hotel.

Wonderful hotelPosted Jul 1, 2014
One of the nicest hotels I've stayed in. Very comfortable with great service. The location is perfect for walking around Bruges and taking in the sites and life of the town.
