“Great choice for Bruges”

Nicely updated, great location within a few minutes walk of the main square. Reception staff spoke good english and were most helpful and pleasant. So long as you don't mind rooms (and elevator!) on the compact side, this is a great choice for Bruges center.

“Comfortable and very pleasant”

I would stay again. The breakfast room and bar were very nice and so was the staff, especially one member who told us some great places for dinner. It was also very nice to stop after being out all day and have a cocktail and chat at the bar. The location too was great.

“Wonderful hotel in Brugges”

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Navarra 25 years ago, at which time we became engaged to be married. We were very fortunate to be able to return 25 years later and stay in the same hotel. Our stay at the same hotel made it a very special celebration.

“Ideal in Every Respect”

This excellent hotel is just a couple of blocks from the historical center of Bruges. Though Bruges is a wonderful town, the center and other tourist destinations in the area can be crowded and sometimes noisy. But the Navarra, though very close by, offers a peaceful retreat from the crowds. This well appointed and maintained hotel invites you to relax at the end of the day, and it provides the quiet one needs to sleep well. I really enjoyed the combination of welcoming comfort, casual ambiance, and meticulous attention to detail. And the buffet breakfast was simply excellent. Just a few steps away is In den Wittenkop, a restaurant that provides genuinely excellent cuisine while sparing the diner the pretentious twaddle that too often accompanies a distinguished meal.

“Nice hotel, odd room”

We booked a room for 2 at the Best Western Premier Hotel Navarra on Expedia with a rate that included breakfast which turned out to be very good. The hotel is well located and all of Bruges's attractions are within walking distance. Check-in was efficient, the receptionist was helpful enough and the hotel had the charm of an older building but our room (#090) was located below street level so the view from the window was to a brick wall and there was a lack of natural light. We also noticed a set of earplugs on each nightstand. In the morning we found out why they were there. Room 090 is next to the kitchen and the sound of a commercial kitchen can clearly be heard from within the room. It's a bit surprising that a 4 star hotel would use that space for customers. It seems more like a room that would be reserved for staff being that the room is a bit difficult to reach, the lack of light and the noise issues. I would only recommend this hotel for people who are sure they will be on a higher floor. Luckily, we only planned to be in the Navarra for 1 night, we spent the next 2 nights of our stay in another hotel.

“This is one romantic town!”

My husband and I enjoyed a two day stay in Bruges. It is a romantic and beautiful place. The hotel was right off the main square and central to all walking around this gem of a town. We were able to get around on foot and see everything. Being centrally located, we could pop into the hotel during the day as needed. The staff was friendly and helpful and we would happily return to this charming location. The town is little changed in the last 500 years and was not bombed during WWII so it is fascinating to see the old world buildings and canals. Enjoy! We did.
