the most helpful and friendly staff

Posted Sep 29, 2014
Pros: Staff are at the top of the list. a very nice cocktail bar with very pleasant service and a jazz pianist twice a week was a bonus.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Very central location with a 3 min walk to the main square. however Bruges is small and you can see it all with easy walks. Loads of restaurants near
the staff are superb and helpful with anything required of them. The breakfast was substantial and the food excellent. The gym and pool were welcome after a full day of exploration and am on site car park is a bonus.

Great location

Posted Sep 20, 2014
Pros: It is a lovely unusual building, slightly quirky, and not the usual block of concrete. There is a small peaceful garden at the back.
Cons: The jazz pianist needs to be there more than twice a week - we missed him as we were not there on a WED or SAT night!
Location: Very centrally located and near to the Markt with easy walking distance to everything.
The hotel was immaculate with very friendly and helpful staff. Bedroom windows can be opened and therefore there is fresh air in your room.

Great location but look out for street closures

Posted Sep 17, 2014
Pros: The hotel is excellent, there is nothing to dislike. It's worth staying there for the bar and pool alone. The rooms are great with everything you need
Cons: The hotel web site or Expedia should state when road closures for street parties can be expected.
Location: Brugge is a site seeing paradise from old buildings to choclate museums to bars and restaurants galore and all walkable with shops catering for all.
The hotel & location are great but Brugge has a tendency to close streets in its centre meaning access to the hotel by vehicle is not possible until after 6:00pm. So check with the hotel before booking as to when street closures are progammed otherwise you will be carrying your luggage 2 or 3 hundred yards on cobbled streets during a street party..!! The hotel staff are indifferent to this issue so don't expect too much sympathy. I guess this must be a regular accurance which just washes over them.

A good hotel very close to the centre

Posted Sep 15, 2014
Pros: The staff were most helpful, the location was perfect. I would recommend this hotel.
We spent two nights in Bruges. The hotel met all of our requirements. We parked the car in their private car park, and then walked everywhere.

Fantastic central hotel

Posted Aug 28, 2014
A few minutes walk away from the centre of Bruges, this hotel is the perfect base to explore the area. All of the hotel staff are friendly & happy to help however they can. We travelled with a young baby and they provided a welcoming cot & bedding - so both we and our little one had a good night's sleep. Would definitely stay there again

Pros: Staff, location, cleanliness and general ambiance.
Cons: The Sauna could be refurbished, and bathrooms on the top floor that are located under the eaves redesigned to make showering less cramped.
Location: Excellent location in a quiet street, but near to everything of interest.
My stay at the Hotel Navarra was quite pleasant. The room and bathroom were clean, and of decent size. That stated, as I was in a room on the top floor where the walls had an inward slant (due to the roof), the shower, which was against the wall, was cramped and difficult to use. The pool area was pleasant, but minimal. The sauna could use some refurbishing. The shining points for the hotel and definitely the cozy feeling of the common areas, but most importantly the excellent pleasantness of the staff. Marion and Jens from the front desk deserve special mention as being courteous, accommodating and helpful.

Good hotel, good location

Posted Aug 1, 2014
Pros: Great location, friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: The room appeared clean but there were hairs in the bath and sink, which was a off putting. The 'double' room was actually a twin, with seperate beds
Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is charming and has good facilities. We used the hotel for a brief stop over, there is a car park for paid extra charge, there could be problems if this is full as there appears to be no on street or parking alternatives. We had breakfast at the hotel and it had a good range of choices and staff were also excellent.

Excellent Hotel!

Posted Jul 30, 2014
Pros: friendliness of the staff
Cons: More transparent information on the beadroom size and the type of the bed i.e. if it is double or two single beds joined together.
We stayed at this hotel for the long weekend break. This was my second time at this hotel. Great location, just few minutes from the main square. The staff was very nice and helpful and extremely efficient. We had breakfast included and again the variety and the quality of the food was really good. The only remark is that our room was a bit small just enough to walk around the bed and the mattress was worn on one side of the bed, nevertheless our stay was not influenced by this, we had great time and I would and will definitely come again.

Nice place. Hits it target market. No issues.

Close walk to everything. It actually has a nice pool. Breakfast is good but expensive at 17.50€ Room was comfortable and minimalist . Brugge is an expensive place, much like Amsterdam but great beers , architecture and chocolate.

hotel of character in heart of Bruges

Posted Jul 1, 2014
Pros: Nicely set out and nicely paced and willing staff
Cons: Just about right
Location: In the heart of the town and bags of excellent sites, heritage and eating within easy walking distance.
Helpful and polite staff. Building of character (wiggly corridors). Fine internet throughout. Wonderful pool/sauna/gym in basement. very well positioned. good value. would def go back again.
