“Location was perfect for walking to center of city.”
Those wanting to relax and get away from the pressure of daily life will enjoy this hotel and the city of Brugge. We stayed two nights, it was just enough to see the sites and enjoy the sites of this beautiful part of the world..
“Exactly as I expected”
I LOVED this hotel. It was quaint, the staff was incredibly helpful as well as cheerful. They gave us wonderful restaurant recommendations as well as the best chocolate shop. We had a 2nd floor room, and it was unseasonably warm, so the room was a teeny bit hot but there was air conditioning to offset. We were on our honeymoon so they sent up 2 glasses of champagne and chocoloates - a very nice touch. Overall - it was wonderful...and the breakfast was AMAZING! Too expensive - but a wonderful last day treat.
“Unique Experience not to be missed”
We split our stay between Martin's Realis and the Orangerie. Both are wonderful hotels in converted antique buildings, situated on canals and centrally located. The Orangerie is our favorite. It is elegant and lovely. From the moment you enter the lobby you are in a different time and place. Modern ambiance integrated with old world elegance. Our junior suite on the canal side was so special that we wanted to extend our stay but the room was booked. We were able to see two other rooms one on the canal and one facing the inner court yard and they were both unique and special as well leading us to think that there probably aren't any rooms that aren't consistant with the overall feel of the hotel. The breakfasts were outstanding with champagne flowing which just seemed natural to the lovely setting. We travel a lot this is a must do if you enjoy European elegance on an intimate scal
“Great location”
Hotel was smack in the center of town, on a canal which our troom overlooked. Service was prompt, room was spotless and comfortable. Restaurant was on the canal and the outside patio butted up with the loading area for the canal tours which stop running at 6:30 pm.
“Busy Bruges”
Loved the location of this hotel, and our room was very spacious and was very comfortable. Great food in the hotel. However, the busy weekend we came found the staff overwhelmed, often long lines (even to pick up a room key), and some staff consequentially on edge. I got the sense from some of the staff that they prioritized customer satisfaction, but a few too many interactions were gruff, rushed, and rude. I do recommend renting a bike - the highlight of our trip!
