A charming hotel in a charming city

Posted Jun 28, 2015
The hotel is 5' walk from the market and is quiet without the tourist hustle bustle. It's a charming historical building with all of the modern amenities. The breakfast is delicious and I recommend that highly. I would definitely come back again! A quick hint. The hotel offers currency exchange and gives the best rate I have seen throughout the 3 cities that I traveled this time.

Pros: The overall quality of everything including the background music which suited the mood of the place perfectly - often unsuitable and unwelcome
Cons: Can't think of a thing.
Location: Historic town with some great restaurants and plenty of interesting places to explore.
Late arrival was no problem, helpful and friendly staff available and happy to provide info on where to eat and help with parking and our bags. The decor and ambience was peerless and a delicious breakfast in the stylish dining room made a special occasion of what can often be a disappointment.

Ideally located, excellently staffed, spotlessly clean, plumbing that works and a breakfast to set you up for the whole day; who could ask for more??!

Pros: Everything
Cons: Not a lot...maybe a hot tub in the spa!?
Location: The hotel is ideally situated right near the very heart of Bruges.
From the moment we checked in, the staff were fantastic and the hotel is very grand and spotlessly clean. Our room was very nice with a comfortable bed and smart bathroom (complete with toiletries from L'Occitane). we never had any issues with noise either from Charley Rockets over the road (a great bar for a drink and a game of pool) or from other rooms. Breakfast was lovely with a good selection of cold meats, cheese, smoked salmon, pastries, cereals, fruit, yogurts, juices, bacon, sausages, eggs, toast, tea and coffee. The spa in the basement was well worth a visit with sauna, steam room, showers and gym equipment. Whilst in Bruges, I would strongly recommend you visit Beer & Ribs (all you can eat delicious ribs for €18, but book well in advance!) the seafood restaurant a few doors down the road from the hotel (awesome seafood platter!) Lizzy's Waffles just off of Market Square (the biggest and best waffles you'll ever eat and hot chocolate to die for) the Beer Wall, great bar to try loads of beers, including a €10 taster tray of four beers and two snacks. Oh, and go for a boat trip, but do go in the morning when they open at 10, because the queues are huge later on!

Pros: Beds were really comfy, breakfast was great

Hotel centrale, perfetto per la logistica

Posted Apr 8, 2015

In Bruges!!

Very good breakfast, room a little smaller than I expected, TV channels seemed limited, apparently no news channel. But good for a short stay and very convenient to the centre.

Excellent hotel in the centre of Bruges

Posted Mar 7, 2015 on Hotels
We had a lovely long weekend in Bruges and our stay was enhanced by the hotel Oud Huis de Peellaert. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the breakfast was excellent, setting us up for the day. Being situated so centrally was great as we could walk anywhere in the town within half an hour. We also discovered a wonderful little restaurant just 2 minutes from the hotel which specialised in shell fish and oysters. When we return to Bruges we will definitely return to this hotel.

Habitación fuera del edificio principal

Posted Feb 17, 2015 on Hotels
