“BRUGGES IS WONDERFUL AND KEMPINSKI WONDERFUL”
Hotel Kempinski, Brugge -- fab fab. Only comment is sometimes there was a wait at the "concierge-check in desk" to get the information one needed (order taxi etc). It can get backed up. There is no dedicated "CONCIERGE" desk - would be helpful. I would stay here AGAIN and AGAIN -- rooms beautiful, service calm and very very nice. And Brugge! Wow.
“Best in Bruges...”
Lovely old hotel, with elegant and spacious rooms. - ask for a room in the old part of the building. Gracious service, with good modern european cuisine in both the bar and restaurant. Well chosen wine list at reasonable prices.
“Truly fit for a Royal!”
I highly recommend this hotel. Beautiful, gracious, wonderful location and the only 5 Star hotel in town, I believe. Beautiful grounds where you can sit, relax, and dine outside. Didn't try the food at the restaurant -- so many places to try outside the hotel and so close. Two tiny things - the lobby, oddly, is a bit small for such a large hotel. No one seemed to use it. But they were all outside because the grounds (more than a lawn) are so nice. So maybe that's why. Also, the spa was a bit light on top notch services. But everything else was superb, especially the sweet, smart, accommodating people running the front desk and concierge services. Thank you!
“Great escape”
Lovely hotel in Brugge. Great location within walking distance of all the sights. Well appointed and comfortable room. Breakfast in the hotel was quite expensive and there are many nearby options in town.
“good hotel and location”
were slow in organizing our room we did arrive mid afternoon so really should have been ready every thing else very good was nice to go into their garden very quite and peaceful area
“Brugge Bliss”
The Kaminsky Hotel (5 star) was a beautiful and historic building in downtown Brugge (Belgium) with an entrance about 50m off the main road. The grounds, structure, and interior were beautifully maintained. The room was more than we expected including heated marble tiles in the bathroom, a separate shower (rare for Europe), and a bathtub. Everything was very clean and fresh. Our room had a view of the garden area in the rear of the hotel which was immaculately maintained as well (the large, red pastic poodle in the garden was a little tacky though - didn't understand what that was about). The personnel were very professional and courteous and there was apparently no charge for valet parking. We didn't eat at the restaurant so we can't comment on that but it looked divine. One couldn't ask for a better location for visiting Brugge either. All the shopping and historic squares and such are within 5-10 minutes walk. We highly recommend this hotel for your next visit to Brugge.
“Fabulous!!!!”
My one night stay at the Kempinski Hotel was absolutely fabulous. The staff were all very friendly and the hotel is beautiful--both the public spaces and the rooms. The tile floor in the bathroom was heated, and when they came to turn down the bed, they left slippers at the bedside. If I'm ever in Bruges again (which is a lovely city!) I will be sure to stay at the Kempinski.
“History and Luxury”
One of the finest hotels I have stayed in anyplace in the world. Small, quiet, luxurious, and full of history. My room was huge - the largest I have had anyplace in Europe. One small nit - no coffeemaker in the room, so you are stuck with European style coffee.
“5 star experience in the heart of brugge”
Beautiful historic hotel in the heart of Brugge. You can walk everywhere from here, close to all ths sites as well as many restaurants, pubs, coffee shops, chocolate shops and great shopping. Front desk staff very welcoming, professional and friendly. The room was beautiful, spacious and comfortable with everything you need. As many others have commented on, there was in fact a strange sewer-like odor in the lobby area but not in the room. Not a big deal. This was our 1st stay at a Kempinski Hotel and after this experience, we will seek out other Kempinski properties for future travels. An excellent choice in Brugge.
“great location”
Although pricey, this hotel is worth the splurge. Great location, rooms are very comfortable and nicely decorated, service is great too. Wish we had time to stay longer.
