Great location, friendly staff

Posted Aug 22, 2014
Hotel is only 10 mins walk from the train station and 10 mins walk to the city centre. Check in was easy and staff were very friendly. The room itself was good, we were surprised to have 2 double beds, one each! Cleanliness was pretty good although one of our coffee cups hadn't been cleaned from the previous guest and the bathroom could have done with a bit of bleaching between the tiles and bottom of the shower seal. The room was pretty quiet although like any hotel you hear doors opening and closing all through the night and inconsiderate guests talking loudly whilst walking through the corridors. We didn't eat in the restaurant so can't comment on the quality of the food. Overall we had a great stay and would love to come back.

Good location but nothing special

Posted Aug 18, 2014
We had booked a king size bed but we got twin double. A little difficult when you have a child that needs to sleep between you. When I asked this is not what we booked they said they are fully booked. The room was not clean, the bathroom basin water was blocked, I asked if they can join the bed, clean the room and fix the bathroom but none of was done. The next day the room was not made up till 4pm, it is crazy. When I complained they moved us to a suit which was superb, very clean and comfortable unlike the first room we had. The staff are not helpful but the general manager was great. Very good location, the suits are very good but standard rooms are disappointing.

Great trip to Bruges

Posted Aug 10, 2014
Pros: Cleaniliness and friendliness!
Cons: Price of breakfast!
Location: Definitely do the Belfort (366 steps) and we also loved the Frites and Chocolate museums. Also check out the Rose Red cafe/bar - brilliant!
This Hotel is deceptive - looks decidely average from outside opposite bus station but inside it is welcoming and well furnished. Staff were very friendly and helpful letting us leave our luggage both before checking in and after checking out so that we could enjoy Bruges. Room was very clean and comfortable - good value for money! My only criticism is that the hotel breakfast is too expensive but we found excellent breakfasts in easy walking distance which were half the price - Patisserie Prestige and The Gingerbread House - both superb. The Hotel is well positioned for easily walking into the City and the proximity of the bus station was useful for getting to the Damme ferry (highly recommend this trip!)

Good location

Posted Jul 5, 2014
Pros: Excellent position, efficient and friendly staff, good ambience and a large bedroom.
Cons: Upgrade en-suite, sort out coffee and tea making facilities in the bedrooms and a little more attention to detail.
Location: The hotel is right at the edge of the old town. A short walk across the square and you are in the main shopping street leading to the main square.
Generally a good hotel with decent facilities. It was let down with out of date en-suite and lack of attention to detail such as a duvet cover with a hole in it. Coffee making facilities were a little odd in the bedroom, the machine placed a long way from the power point and a some what strange method of operation. Disappointing given the general good standard of the hotel.

Reasonable centrally located hotel.

Posted Jul 5, 2014
Pros: The helpful staff and the location
Cons: Room needed refurbishment but quiet and spacious with good sized bathrooms
Location: Excellent, good for the old centre and shops
Overal was a good stay. Restaurant good but evening meals expensive (especially the wines). Breakfast cost between 15 and 22 Eur. Good bar area and large TV (for sports events). Location excellent and rooms are quiet at the back. Think they all have air con.

Hotel in good location for town centre and station

Posted May 29, 2014
Pros: Location and the room we had was very spacious and very clean. The bed was also very comfortable.
Cons: Out of three mornings, two breakfasts were just ok. The last morning the breakfast could have been better.
Location: Everything was close to walk to. The town centre was a short walk away and everything from shops to restaurants were easy to walk to.
Good location. On leaving it was easy to walk to station. Walking into town centre was easy and enjoyable. We were a little disappointed with the breakfast. Overall a nice hotel.

Poor Hotel poor service at breakfast

Posted May 14, 2014
We had a room on the 5th Floor quite nice, sadly the lift was put out of action just after we arrived and stayed out of order for 4 days. we could get a lift to the 4th floor but still awkward having to go up what was designed as Fire escape stairs. The service at breakfast did not exist.

Great except there was a fair in town which made things quite noisy in the evening.

Well-placed for exploring Bruges!

Posted May 6, 2014
Pros: There is nothing to dislike about the hotel! It ticks all the boxes!
Cons: Nothing!
Location: The history of the town, its monuments and beer cellars are all worthy of exploration! Loved the Belfry, even with its 366 steps!
Eighteen of us descended on the hotel; each of us being treated as individuals by Reception. The rooms were great, very well appointed with extremely comfortable beds! Breakfast was a treat! The hotel is ideally placed for exploring Bruges, going for walks or taking a bike ride - we did it all!
