A wonderful hotel in a quiet part of lovely BrugesPosted Dec 17, 2014
Pros: Friendly and very helpful staff, conveniently situated in a quiet and beautiful part of the city.
Cons: Nothing - it was all fantastic!
Location: The hotel is in a quiet part of Bruges along a canal but is only an easy 5-10 minute walk from the city centre, where all the main attractions are loc
We had a great three night stay at the Hotel Ter Duinen in Bruges. The staff were wonderful and couldn't do enough for us and were only too happy to provide gluten-free food at breakfast for my wife who is coeliac. The hotel is an easy 5-10 minute walk from the centre of the city, so both convenient for all of the main sights but also in a quiet part of town, along a beautiful canal. The rooms were simple but very comfortable and also very clean. We would thoroughly recommend the Ter Duinen and would certainly stay there again next time we were in Bruges.

Nice hotel but small rooms, and expensivePosted Nov 25, 2014
Pleasant hotel and nice people but the rooms are basic and small. We paid £175.00 per night, which for that money you would expect a much better room, and breakfast is very poor. You are simply offered a boiled egg. There is a small amount of cereal etc, but for that money you would expect a better room and a much better breakfast.

Small family run hotel - friendlyPosted Nov 4, 2014
Pros: Small, intimate
Cons: Bathroom had an odor - improved ventilation?
Location: A bit further out than a lot of hotels but this made it quieter in the evenings.
Comfortable bed and spacious room. Breakfast excellent, Good base for exploring Bruge.

Lovely little hotel with the friendliest staffPosted Nov 3, 2014
Pros: Great location, brilliant service, slightly out of the centre, on a pretty canal and away from the crowds.
Cons: A bar would be a nice addition to finish off a lovely evening.
Location: Many museums, canal boat trips, horse and carriage rides, climbing the belfry or just admiring the wonderful old buildings and then there's the beer!
We've been to Hotel Ter Duinen before and the experience was just the same, perfect. We arrived just after ten in the morning and the owner couldn't have been nicer and even though our room was not ready he made a garage available for us to leave our car and took our luggage. When we returned from exploring the delights of Bruges, our luggage was laid out in our room. The staff always have a smile and seem genuinely interested to talk to you, which is such a rare quality nowadays. Breakfast was as expected, brilliant. Continental done at it's best, super sweet and juicy fruit, lovely breads and pastries with many different meats and cheeses. Fresh orange juice, great coffee and good service. The owners were closing the hotel for a holiday on Sunday but still allowed us to keep the key for our garage until one o'clock and just asked that we post it through the door when we left. If you want a quiet little hotel base from which to explore Bruges then this is the place.

Quaint hotel on the canalPosted Oct 19, 2014
Beautiful hotel, and very friendly staff. Slightly off the beaten track, which sets a nice backdrop looking over the canal.

Great locationPosted Oct 5, 2014
Nice hotel along the canal. We're walkers and were able to walk to see the sights. Nice breakfast buffet in the hotel too. They had a garage space reserved for us so we didn't have to worry about our car. Would stay here again.

Wonderful hotel and hosts!!!Posted Sep 28, 2014
Pros: Everything ... like a well run bed and breakfast. Personal.
Cons: Not coming up with anything
This hotel is simply wonderful! The hosts are charming and welcoming. We liked the nice simple breakfast. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. It is right on the canal. For us, the walk to downtown we pleasant, but potential guests should be aware that it is about a 15 to 20 minute walk.

Quiet, cosy hotel close to tourist sightsPosted Sep 14, 2014
Tius is a quiet, charming hotel in old Brugges. It's in a lovely location overlooking a canal, about turn minutes walk from the tourist area. The staff are all very welcoming. Breakfast was good and plentiful (though obviously 'continental'). Our room was spacious, very comfortable and well maintained - the shower was superb. Only down side was that being on the ground floor with a 'garden' view (i.e. a courtyard) the room was rather dark. Overall I would definitely recommend thus hotel.
