The hotel was right on the beach.Posted Oct 22, 2013
Pros: Right on the beach.
Location: All great.
The only problem was that apparently they expected you to carry out your own trash upon departure. Management should be responsible for this.

Great for families!Posted Sep 25, 2013
Pros: Beach, spacious rooms, helpful staff, available in-room amenities
Location: Right on the beach with easy access to the main shopping/dining district, lighthouse, parks, etc.
We went to a wedding on the island and rented a condo here rather than stay with the other guests at a stylish hotel. With two small children, we wanted the extra space. It was such a great experience that one of the other families moved over to join us. The beach is great, even with little kids, the rooms were spacious and clean, and the location is convenient to everything we needed to do (although we did have a car). The front desk was outrageously helpful. The pool doesn't have any fancy enhancements but is clean and has an adjacent restroom, and the beach was an easy walk. The decor was no-frills, but the room had a new-looking washer-dryer and glass cooktop range. Overall, I'd say it's perfect for a family vacation, and I can't wait to stay again.

Wonderful Place, right on the beach, very convenient to shopping, dinning and entertainment. Our unit was exactly as we expected, clean and well equipped in the kitchen, linens and household furnishings. Some previous reviews described as dated, but VINTAGE would be the best way to describe the furnishings, " Wicker", with a warm southern charm! My only complaint is that the bed is HARD. I personally am not used to that FIRM, STIFF kind of sleeping. I would recommend bringing a "egg crate" or "mattress topper" for those who need a little more softness. We had such a wonderful time and there is so much to see and experience of the south's history. So make sure you plan a day to see as much as you can( the Fort, Lighthouse, Gardens). If you have a craving for "THE BEST HAMBURGER", head to ZUZU's. You too will be raving their praises!

Great locationPosted Aug 29, 2013 on Hotels.com
We loved the location and the full kitchen was a bonus. The unit would be a little tight for 4 adults but doable. Our unit could have used some updates but others we saw in the complex were more modern. Laundry facilities are a plus.

On beach and near historical downtown and eateriesPosted Aug 3, 2013 on Hotels.com
Great place to stay. Kitchen was fully equipped except for liquid soap if you wanted to hand wash the dishes instead of use the dishwasher. But plenty of dishes to last a week (you would need to wash pots & pans). I was surprised how fully equipped and nicely furnished the quarters were. Nice clean large pool, grill area and private boardwalk to the beach. Private balcony with swing and chairs. But bring your own hair dryer as some condo owners do not furnish. Over-all, enjoyable and hassle free...you are pretty much on your own, but service is only a phone call away. Top floor is best. Inconsiderate tenants above us made noise. Manager lives on premises and made friendly and helpful suggestions where to dine. Sandcastle has a great breakfast buffet for $9.95, but most all restaurants are good. Try Skipper's on the river just over the bridge in Darien GA (20 miles North) for lunch and possibly glimpse the shrimp boats coming in to dock with a fresh catch.

Nice overallPosted Jul 31, 2013
Cons: Decor, add DVD/Bluray player, faucets in bathtubs need replacing badly
Location: Drive to village for shopping, dining, crabbing and fishing. Visit historic lighthouse. Community pool and putt putt in village are fun. Bike trails
Very nice overall. Did not have DVD player as advertised and that would have been nice for the kids. Good location, great to be able to walk to the beach. Decor in good condition but dated--could use some sprucing up.

I would stay there before I every got a hotel room. All the amenitties of home, even a washer and dryer in the unit! The staff was so exceptional! The beach was perfect! The pool was real clean too! We were within a mile to everything we needed. The grounds were beautifully landscaped. It was a home away from home.
