“What a truly WONDERFUL surprise !!”

Mapquest needs to update the driving directions on the Island side of the Torras Causeway We had to atop and ask directions (an infuriating thing for my husband) But, when we finally got checkedl in, we were both so enormously and pleasently surprised with the friendliness od the staff - not to mention all the amenities - the covered pool and the hot tub were so inviting that one of the housekeepers offered to bring me a pillow & blanket so I could spend the night in there. The breakfast was SO delicious - not only Coffee, Teas, Fruit Juices, but Waffles, Sweet Rolls, Toast, Cereals .Even Oatmeal and GRITS - plus a big, lovely bowl of fresh Apples & Oranges ! Microwave & Refrigerator in rooms ! Plus Coffee Maker w/ all the fixings..... parking in front of your door,too ! Bobbi & David , Atlanta, GA

“Sea Palms Inn - St. Simons”

Very convenient location in center of island. Nice rooms and grounds. Slightly hidden away from the main road - quiet location. My daughter enjoyed the covered pool area. Wireless was fast. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room service was good. Wine and cheese reception Tues - Thurs evenings. Breakfast was on par with Hampton, Marriott, etc. - waffle maker, sweet rolls, muffins, bread, cereals, yogurt, etc. OJ, apple juice, milk, coffee, tea. Several restaurants within short walk.

“Don't stay in a pet friendly room”

My wife and I wanted to bring our dog to the beach with us. We had few pet friendly options and mistakenly chose Sea Palms Inn. The comforters looked older than us and the carpet was gross. I know dogs and cats can make messes if they aren't diciplined, but is it necessary to charge us $50 more for a room that is clearly worse than the rest? We won't be staying here again.

“Great Stay at Sea Palms Inn”

When I made my reservation I thought I was getting a great deal for a stay at Sea Palms Resort which overlooks the intercoastal waterway and the Sea Palms golf course. After I realized my error, we decided to give Sea Palms Inn, which is located in a mixed residential and retail area, a try since it was only for one night. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel staff could not have been friendlier or more accommodating. We needed early check-in. The newly renovated room was spacious, well furnished, and very clean. It was conveniently located to all the activities we had planned in St Simons. The Inn is under the management of the Resort, which probably played a part in the great service and accommodations. It was a nice place to stay.

“Great Experience, Okay Location.”

It was definitely worth it to stay here. My friends and I aren't high-maintenance so this hotel was a comfortable fit. We did, however, have to take taxis a lot, unless we wanted to walk over a mile to the beach or bars/shopping area. The taxis are really expensive because they do not run on meters. The women at check-in told me they did have a deal with a specific taxi company, but when we called them they said they had no recollection of anything like that. Overall, though, it fit our needs for the weekend. The inexpensive price allowed us to have more spending money to use for the cabs.

“Good Anniverary Experience”

My wife and I traveled to this location in June. We stayed here for an Anniversary weekend. The Hotel breakfast was good. We felt very comfortable and the hotel staff was very nice. The hotel's location was on one of the main roads, but it was right near a parking lot and shopping center next door. It was out of the way to go to some of the restaraunts and main part of the island. However overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it for quietness, room, and staff.
