We enjoyed walking the beach. The restaurants were great and a lot to choose from.

From the check in to the pools, restaurant, bar and staff everything is five star. I wish I would have stayed longer to have enjoyed this resort. Great great place

We had a very nice stay. The only area in need of improvement would be housekeeping. They forgot to replenish the shampoo and lotion one day, didn't leave towels the next day, and there was no hair dryer in the room. These items were delivered immediately when we called Housekeeping. The pool area is lovely. It was wonderful to have a heated pool. It is not always possible to find a beach chair when the hotel is full, though. The room decor is very nice and comfortable. We loved having an ocean view. All in all, we had a very nice stay.

Great Spring Break Getaway

Disappointed with room cleaniness

Pros: Lobby, restaurant and location
Cons: Room cleanliness. Front desk attitude towards criticism
Location: Bike rides, nice restaurants, short drive to St Simons' pier
Hotel lobby and the restaurant are renovated. The location is very good and if you get an ocean front room you will get a nice view. Our experience was a little mixed because we arrived to a room with a leaking toilet (bathroom floor was all wet). Service employee was nice and fixed it for us. We found dead bugs in the room and the cleaning people took care of it. When we mentioned this issue at the front desk they were not very friendly and referred us to a cleaning log. Overall our experience was not bad but the little issues with the room are going to prevent us from going again to the King and Prince resort.

We spent spring break at the king and prince. It could not have been more perfect! Friendly, courteous staff, beautiful surroundings, lots to do with kids between the beach, pool and walk to bike shop. Loved it and hope to return soon.

Classic Resort Worth the Experience; Won't Repeat

Definitely happy we spent the night at the King and Prince. Beautiful grounds, beautiful lobby, classic experience. However, what it offers in upfront ambiance, it lacks in convenience and comfort. We signed in at the main building and were directed to a second-floor room in a separate building. After struggling up a steep flight of stairs to our room, we were greeted with an older, slightly worn but clean, comfortable room. Not bad, nothing to write home about. Checked out the lobby, ocean view and complimentary coffee on checkout. All very pleasant. That said, the classic experience does't live up to, let's say, a Hampton Inn with its modern, clean room and comfortable bed and plentiful hot breakfast.

Elegance, Class & Kindness never go out of style

This hotel is now listed in The Historic Hotels of America. It is beautifully maintained and updated. Each staff member we encountered was kind and hospitable in a friendly way, not a stiff, formal way. This is the beauty of Southern Hospitality. Emily at the front desk and John who helps with luggage, car, etc were 2 standout exceptional employees who made a lasting positive memory of our stay. We had our trip cut short due to unforeseen circumstances; but, we look forward to returning soon and finishing the vacation we had started! The location is unbeatable. You are directly on the beach with swimming pools and many places to just sit and enjoy the view. Then hop on your bikes, like we did, & you are in the village, in no time! There in the village, are terrific restaurants, shoppes and the lighthouse and the large pier to walk out on. We heard the Trolley tour that picks up from the pier is well worthwhile as you will learn much about the historical city of St. Simons, Island. As I mentioned before, so much to enjoy, and the King and Prince is a relaxing resort to begin the day and return to in the evening or just stay all day on the grounds. Sitting by the fire in the evenings after dinner was such a treat! Next visit we look forward to spending time by the outside firepit. We can't wait to go back!
