An awesome Easter vacation

Posted Apr 8, 2015
Pros: Everything
Location: Great dinner and breakfast places, bars nearby, the pier and all is walking distance to whatever you want to do.
All I can say is it was awesome. The view from our private balcony was awesome...being walking distance to the village was great and breakfast at the Mallory Street Cafe was delicious...I recommend this place to everyone.

great little hotel close to town

Cons: Wi-FI
everything was great from the breakfast to the room conditions. The only negative you could not get the Wi-Fi in your room, you had to go outside.

location great…homey atmosphere…nice b&b feel.

Pros: Set back from the noise, beautiful trees.
Location: Lighthouse, lighthouse museum, shops, quiet walking neighborhoods…beach access.
Fire in the fireplace, wonderful live music, close to great restaurants, small but very nicely furnished room. Homey and sweet. We flew in (small plane) just for an overnight, first time to St. Simon's.

Excellent choice!

Posted Sep 30, 2014
Pros: Very comfortable, clean and centrally located.
Cons: Nothing comes to mind.
Location: Dozens of restaurants and bars within walking distance and many with live music on Friday and Saturday.
Centrally located to most of the restaurants and bars located in "the village" section of St Simmons Island. Accommodations were first rate. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The only 2 issues I had with my room (#101) were as follows: 1. The air conditioner made quite a loud humming noise when it ran. I almost complained but since I was only there for one night, I figured I would get used to it (white noise sort of thing). 2. The bath tub drain was slow (partially clogged). This too I did not complain because I was only staying one night. I am confident though if I had raise these issues to the staff, they would have done their best to resolve them. Neither of these issues would have kept me from staying there again. The included breakfast was above average but not anything I would staying for if I wanted to get on the road early as was the case.

SSI get away

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: We liked the character of the place and the location under the shady oaks.
Cons: Ceiling fan needed balancing, made clicking noise.
Charming B&B in an excellent location on a lovely Island. It was great to be able to park and walk or ride bikes to very good dinning, pier, antiques, lighthouse, etc.

Pros: Great location, wonderful breakfast, friendly staff.
Location: Walk to shopping, restaurants, the beach. You could stay here and not need a car.
This is a unique inn with a wonderful location. Each room is different, and the pub/front desk is comfortable and welcoming.

Quaint hotel, pricey, good location

Posted Apr 9, 2014
Pros: location
Cons: coffee maker in room!
Location: In the middle of everything! Close to the village and the beach!
My wife and I enjoyed our stay. One problem was no coffee maker in our room! The continental breakfast was fair. Very friendly staff. Room was very clean. Very small bathroom and vanity!

Cozey little spot

Beautiful little getaway. The rooms are a little small, but you're not going to stay in your room except to sleep! Everything you need is within walking distance. It is a stone's throw away from The Village, which has dining and shopping. The lobby is quaint and encourages guests to get to know each other while they enjoy a cocktails by the fire.

Lovely location

Pros: location and convenience
Cons: staff was not as helpful as they might have been
Great location in St. Simon's--easy walk to shops, beaches, pier, art galleries, lighthouse and other attractions. Music nightly in the Pub was terrific!
