Nice place to stay

Posted Jan 21, 2015
Pros: Location for family visit.
Cons: Bedding, property signage
Location: Beach, walkover bridge to beach, Calabash, Golf (of course), Planaterium in Sunset Beach // check out the laser light shows on the weekend.
Visiting family, can't comment on the golf but the course looked awesome. Front desk staff -- Ok, nothing over the top. Polite. Note** this is not a hotel. You are renting either privately or hotel owned "condo". Rented a mini suite which consisted of 2 beds, sofa bed (maybe or just a sofa), tv, micro, full fridge, kitchen utensils, kitchen sink, coffee pot, 1 setup of coffees (reg and decaf), and an ice machine. 1 extra set of towels. Tub was NOT sturdy, and shower head old. Needed an upgrade. Beach theme accents pretty. Pillows horrible, plastic with a thin covering. Also, the bed covers should be upgraded to "Hilton" style bedding. Clean. 1 dead fly and 1 dead spider. But clean. Should be a roll of paper towels in kitchen area. Location: We upgraded to location near convention center. Elevator building, 2nd floor. Sea Trail is very large, many condos. Signage poor, should have better directions. All in all nice, convenient, clean (PRIORITY in my book), relatively safe I guess, breakfast very good. Would recommend and would stay again.

Great Accomodations

Posted Sep 12, 2014 on Hotels.com
I thought the resort was very nice. I stayed in one of the guest rooms which was nice. The one thing I felt was missing was a small refrigerator. The next time I will stay in one of the Villa's.

nice golfing

Posted Aug 22, 2014 on Hotels.com
We were disappointed in the resort. The surroundings were beautiful and the golf was great for my husband. It wasn't expensive to play and I drove around in the cart. People at the golf cart , the restaurant and pool were nice. Hotel personnel not so friendly. Our room was a guest room and it was small and had a musty smell. There was one garbage can in bathroom, a very tiny window so not much light. It had no ice bucket or fridge to keep waters. Just not what I thought. We only stayed one night so we did okay with it. I would go back for the golfing if we upgrade the room. The place is huge so it was annoying to get in car all the time.

Amazing trip but got locked out of room for hours

Posted Aug 19, 2014 on Hotels.com
I want to start off by saying this hotel was beautiful and the entire campus was amazing. Great rate and great location. HOWEVER I had a mishap that ruined it for me. I came back from dinner around 10 at night and could not get into my room as my key card did not work. I went to the desk where they gave me a new card and that did not work either. The lade at the front desk said it was a problem with the door itself and the batteries to the key reader was dead or broken. She claimed there was nothing she could do since she was the ONLY PERSON ON STAFF and all maintenance people were gone. She said I would not have to pay that night and it could be fixed in the morning. She offered to let me and my girlfriend stay in another room but I explained that we needed to get into our room because my girlfriend had prescription medicine that she needed to take that night. Fortunately she called one of the maintenance men in to help us out. It ended up taking about 2 hours for us to get back in the room from the time of being locked out and although I never even asked to have the room free the lady at the desk said that night would be comped. When I checked out I asked about this and they said I was charged full price and they could not do anything about it. I will see if this is something that can be worked out with Hotels.com

No comments at all, I don't want to come back to that resort, the room was too small and not comfy
