“Great hotel in central Brussels”
Good hotel very close to la Grand Place in the center of Brussels. Two minutes walk to the square. Hotel is nicely maintained, but exterior looks somewhat run down. Nice and included breakfast buffet on top floor, with great view of the surrounding neighborhood. Rooms nice and tidy but somewhat sparsly equipped. Well functioning WiFi, but annoying €15 charge per day. Friendly and helpful staff.
“Arlequin Grand Palace”
quite good accomodation compared to the price.
“Great place to stay.”
Lovely hotel to stay in and within easy reach of everything.
“Nice place, for a one night stay”
The hotel is nice, and in a good area (apart from the one table dancing club next door, which may have been placed there specially for my visit as there's always one...) very close to the Grand Place. The hotel staff were friendly but not very much in evidence - fortunately I didn't need them after checking in! The room itself was functional (although no coffee making facilities), and breakfast was nice.
“Would stay there again”
Very nice location, a bit hard to find.Once there walking distance to everything. Not flashy though comfortiable.Enjoyed breakfast complimentary.Would stay at Arlequin again.
“Excellent site”
Ideally situated to explore Brussels historic centre. Rooms small but well designed - an excellent choice at breakfast.Staff welcoming and efficient.
“What a Location!”
The Arlequin may have a few negatives, but from either front or side entrance, you step out into a street that dates from the Middle Ages. Don't even think about driving here, but the taxis (somehow) pull you right up to the door. The lobby is modern and spacious. I had no complaints with the service (front desk or housekeeping). The rooms are smaller than American standards, but clean and comfortable. The bed and bath were fine and a good breakfast on the seventh floor is included in the room price. What some have described as a shabby street was to us a wonderfully exciting old-world area. While there are definitely restaurant hawkers trying to lure you into their establishment, they are good natured; no matter how many times you pass them by, they give you the same freeze-dried sales pitch. We tried two of the restaurants on this street and were not disappointed. So, unless you just don't like big European cities, don't be concerned about the location. Moreover, the Arlequin is two blocks from the Grand Place and five or six blocks from Central Station--the absolute heart of medieval Brussels. In July or August, I might think twice about the Arlequin since it does not have air conditioning. And if you open the window at night, you hear sporadic street noise (probably on any floor). A set of ear plugs should solve this problem, however. Overall, considering the price, I was thoroughly satisfied with my three nights at the Arlequin and recommend it.
“Good price, good location”
This hotel is in an excellent location, only a few minutes walk from the big square with the palace. It is what you would expect from a 3 star hotel, nothing flash, but the room was very clean and the service was good. Overall given the price and the location it is a good choice for a short stay in Brussels.
“You get what you paid for”
Location was good. Very close to Brusells Central Station. Though, it can be difficult to find if you were to walk it. Room size was comparable to a typical room in Europe - small, but it was clean. The bed was lumpy. The "free" breakfast was good (standard European continental breakfast - cold cuts, bread/roll, cereal, yogart, tea, coffee, juice, cheeses - but it did have hot eggs and other items). close to decent shopping and several good middle eastern restaurants.
“Nice hotel, some construction issues”
Overall we were very pleased with our visit to the Floris Arlequin. The hotel itself is in a good location in the pedestrian area near Grand Place in downtown Brussels. The problem was that the street in front of the hotel was under construction and it made it difficult to walk with luggage, especially since the taxi couldn't pull up in front of the door. The room itself is small but comfortable with good firm beds. We were particularly impressed with the breakfast room which is situated on the 7th floor and gives a beautiful view of the city.
