Don't Stay here!

Pros: Nothing!
Cons: Staff, Honesty disclosures about the hotel.
Location: Nothing is nearby
Had to climb stairs (not mentioned ) phones didn't work, rude staff. Hotel shuttle shuts down earlier than other hotels.

shuttle service was great.Since there are no restaurants close by,if you arrive late you are forced to eat at the hotel and the food is extremely pricy.

Location: Did not stay long enough to venture away from hotel this trip
Short stay enroute home from Belgium bike and barge trip. Very convenient to airport.

Falling through the cracks

We were given a special phone number to call for the shuttle when we arrived at the airport. We called it several times, got no live person, left several messages, and never received a return call. That demonstrates extremely poor service. Call the hotels direct number only.

What you'd expect from an airport hotel

Pros: Free apples, bed linens.
Cons: The staff, perhaps I'm used to friendly North American staff, but it was unpleasant. Other Belgian hotels' staff were nice, so this was unique.
Location: Train into Brussels.
Perhaps it's a cultural difference, but I found the staff unfriendly. I arrived before the check in time because that's when my train had arrived and apologized, happy to wait or leave my suitcase and leave the hotel, and the staff member gave me a snarky 'we'll see' and then I was put in a 1st level room, which I'd prefer not to have as a woman travelling alone. Beyond the sliding door there was another window for security, I'm guessing, but when I mentioned the sliding door wasn't closing I was told "it is closed" numerous times from the front desk although they didn't check my room, and provided no other help. Stuck open, with only the window between me and the airport and the parking lot, it was quite a loud night. The 1st shuttle driver I had was very nice and friendly, so a pleasure to ride with. The other was suitably friendly for 7am, but let my suitcase fall over after he'd put it on the pavement and the left it there. I liked the apples at the front desk.

Clean rooms, unfriendly staff

The room was clean and spacious and the bed was confortable. The lobby and rooms are nicely decorated. The free hotel shuttle was perfect. The hotel staff was cold and unfriendly. The employee at the front desk who checked us in was not friendly, which wouldn't have mattered except that she was all of a sudden happy and lively to two boys her age the second we stepped away. No smiles from any staff our entire stay. It's obvious someone has put great thought into the layout and decoration of the hotel, just wish they had put as much effort into training the staff on customer service.
