The ceiling had water damage and paint chips were falling from the ceiling the whole time I was there. The bathroom sink was dirty.

Good location
Simple hotel, small reception and lift area but massive clean room for 2 people, comfortable bed and strong wifi. Receptionist helpful with our needs, thanks for giving us hot water to put in our cup noodles. Hopefully next time we visit you will have tea/coffee and kettle in the room. Highly recommended for its close proximity to EU parluament and Brussels central and airport

Good alternative for EU headquarters
I chose this hotel for the first time as nothing else was available in the vicinity and was surprised that it is really a good middle class hotel, little bit hidden in a small side street, quiet during the night. Very close to Schuman square with metro, trains and buses. Very handy for any business within the European Quarter, but quite far from the historic center of the city, so not very suitable for tourists. Rooms are good and big enough, some of them with unique style. Cleanliness is good and the staff is friendly and attentive. The overall quality/price ratio is good in normal cases, however when other hotels get full the prices at Chelton are unreasonably high, but this is the same with all the hotels near the EU buildings. The breakfast has good variety, however for 17 EUR a little overpriced. I recommend.

This hotel is clean and functional, however there were signs in the room for a need to refresh and modernise, also the shower was small and no tea/coffee facilities. Minor issues but the hotel wasn't cheap, the night cost more than 200euro all in.

It is close to the bus station and a big park.They did not turn on the airconditioning until our last night(our family stayed four nights), I have asked them on our first night and the guy at the desk told me that the air conditioning is not working, other than that our stay is pleasant.

You gotta love Brussels...
Stayed here before and I love the quirky nature of the place. All wood (pallet) themed. Room was comfortable if not a little small but the two terraces that we had more than made up for it. I would say that the bath was an experience. I never knew that such a small bath (half the size of a normal one) was even possible in the room. If they replaced it with a shower cubicle and did away with something that was next to nearly impossible to have a shower in then my score would be higher. Ideally situated for all the major EU institutions and a 20-25 minute walk from the Grand Place it is a really good hotel for whatever your visit is for I.e. business or pleasure. We didn’t have breakfast as thought that it was a little expensive but lots of little shops nearby. Will definitely go back as there is something about the place that I just really like.

2 blocks from the train depot and 10 minute walk to the town center. The hotel doesn't look like much from the street but once you get inside, it's beautiful. Comfortable bed and very friendly staff.

We stayed in this hotel for 3days 2nights and we went to Prague, and came back to Brussels, stayed the same hotel because the quiet surroundings, hotel itself is beautiful. We loved the receptionist Elena, very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay the same hotel if we will be back to Brussels.

I like the room so much only AC is not working. We had a room at rooftop, with 2 balconies. Elena the receptionist is very helpful and friendly. It was a good stay for 2 nights.

The staff were friendly and allowed us to check in just under an hour before 3 which was great when you are so tired. Unfortunately we went for the weekend when the temperatures were creeping up towards the 30 degrees and so was hot in the hotel room. The air conditioning was not working. I requested a fan but was not available. So we had no option but to open 2 very large windows and all night I was watching my 10 year old as he has a tendency to sleep walk and these windows are at his waist height and he could have easily have fallen out. Most hotels I have been in have a 3 pin 2 pin adaptor for the mains but hotel chelton did not have these. But the staff were very helpful and allowed us to use one of their 2 pin adaptors for our usb charger. But the adaptor later in ther day stopped working.

Reasonable Hotel close to some tourist attractions
Enjoyed our three day stay at this hotel. It was close to the hop on hop off bus stop to get the bus for a day tour of Brussels. Also some lovely parks and restaurants within walking distance from the hotel. The room we had was very spacious and the rates were really good.The breakfast we had on our last day was really good with lots of varieties to choose from. The internet system was a let down as it was only working on our first night and this was a problem especially if you are doing business and need access to the internet.

Dirty towels, burnt my leg on the radiator that is clearly dangerous (walked away with big black burn scar). Hotel staff was awful. Jacked up price when I arrived, forced me to pre-pay at checkin before I even saw the room. Whole place smelt of wet paint and really stank. No coffee in room and upon asking told me machine downstairs was out. Breakfast was overpriced at 14 euros.

The room was nice for my family. More importantly we were able to stream videos for entertainment at night because the TV content in English where mostly news and financial channels. We were able to exercise in a nearby park.

Poor hotel nearish to places of interest.
Ground floor room was very noisy. No coat hangers, no wifi (didn't work, no effort to fix it), no facilities in room other than tv. Shower entrance too small. Bed clothes too small and inadequate (no spares available). No bar. Difficult to see tv from bed. Sockets located in awkward places. Surrounding area had no shops or bars (nearest 10 minutes away and expensive). ONLY redeeming feature was proximity to Commission and Council. Parliament is a good mile further at least.

First of all...there were some positives. Free parking on the street next to the hotel and the staff were extremely nice and helpful. But then....Yikes! There was spray from a coke can (at least I think it was coke) all up the back of the door to the room. Paint was literally peeling off the walls in the bathroom and the dust along the wall boards was so thick you could probably write your name in it. Also, when I walked on the floor anywhere near the wardrobe, it completely shook. I'm not a heavy girl...56 kg...seriously! I don't know if we just got a really bad room but I was really quite shocked to see how dumpy it was (and I've stayed in some pretty dumpy places). I would definitely recommend to pay the extra euros and stay somewhere else.

The hotel location was a little cumbersome to get to town with a ten minute walk to the closest tram but was well worth it for the price. The room was large on European standards.

A bit out of the way from the main tourist attractions/area, need to take the metro to get there in a timely fashion. Not much around the hotel in terms of restaurants and bars, which is where the walking and the metro not running at night come into play. Hotel was clean, well maintained and the room was fairly large by european standards.

Great location.
The rooms were very small but clean and the bed was comfortable. We were on the Second Floor and the stairwell was narrow and steep. Luckily, we only had carry-on bags to manage. There was adequate parking and many restaurants to walk to. The Moet and Chandon building was very close as well.
