Mixed experiencePosted Jun 29, 2014
Good location in terms of seeing Brussels, 10 min walk to metro station. Nice breakfast. But, our room had an unpleasant smell and there was a building site behind the hotel, so was noisy and woken at 6am on weekend.

Inexpensive option and some good pointsPosted Jun 27, 2014
Pros: Helpful staff Rooms at the back were quiet. Good value for money as hotels in Brussels can be expensive.
Cons: Needs new pillows - those in my room smelled bad.
Location: Location is off the beaten track. You need to walk a distance or take transport to the tourist attractions.
We selected this hotel for its price and location near the Bruxelles Midi station. In fact the surroundings are not great and we would not recommend walking late at night. The hotel receptionist was charming and helpful. Rooms are fine for the price and the breakfast is not bad.

Hotel is in a quiet street.Posted Jun 12, 2014
Pros: Friendly & knowledgeable staff & they have an outdoor garden/patio area where you can have your drinks & eat your take - away from nearby eateries.
Cons: Lacking in room beverage items, i.e. extra sachets tea/coffee. Hand papers in lounge male toilet would be much better than the common single towel.
Location: Nice park only 5 minutes away & there are 3 homely restaurants to choose.
Easy access to public transport e.g. Trams & Buses. Buy your tourist Travel Pass @ the Midi Rail Station as it is very economical. A single bus journey costs €2.50. I have not use the Metro service as travelling on buses offer better views of the city area.

Good value hotel not too far from Brussels-ZuidPosted Jun 6, 2014
Pros: All the staff were friendly and very efficient.
Cons: Well ..... arrange with the building company to not start work until at least 8am (unlikely). Otherwise, no other obvious improvement.
Location: The hotel is centred within an African/Asian community which basically caters for them. Found quite a good Greek restaurant plus a general supermarket
For a 3-star hotel it was quite acceptable without providing any pleasant surprises. Breakfast (included in price) was varied but with no hot food. The room was what you'd expect from a good budget hotel in the UK and was, in the 5 days I was there, well made up each day. Staff were really friendly too, and very helpful when required. The main drawback to the hotel at present is due to a new building being constructed at the back of the hotel and the workmen on the site start work at 7am each morning. No good if you want a lie in! It looks like it's going to take a few more months to complete the work.

Room needs update - Residential neighbourhoodPosted May 8, 2014 on Hotels.com
The room was clean however could do with some updates to the interior. The location was ok to walk to the station (about 15 mins) but far from the city centre for which public transport etc. would be needed. It is located in a residential neighbourhood. Breakfast was fine. Staff was very helpful and have lots of local travel and restaurant information at hand.

New experience outside the city centrePosted May 8, 2014
Good clean hotel about 15 minutes mostly level walking from the Gare du Midi Eurostar. The staff were extremely helpful in supplying details for getting around Brussels, pointing out trams, Metro and restaurants. As a 3 Star hotel it ticked all the boxes, the room, en-suite, bedding and facilities were all clean and tidy. Breakfast catered for all tastes and was both fresh and plentiful.

Great Stay but a bit far from thingsPosted Mar 30, 2014 on Hotels.com
Good breakfast, nice rooms, but quite far from the activities. There was a hot water heater and fridge was was great and a safe. I would stay again but know it's far from things...by foot. You can easily train in.

Pros: Breakfast was good, as was the room and facilities in it. The location's good for public transport (trains & bus) and a little out of the centre.
Cons: Offering evening meals by prior arrangement might be an idea- no where locally looks tempting.
Location: It's a bus ride from the centre of Brussels!
The room was somewhat tired, but the facilities there good. The area around the hotel wasn't exactly nice with most bars being inhabited by men and not seeming inviting to a couple- we had to got back into the city centre to eat at nights and really would rather have found somewhere near the hotel.
