Nice hotel and friendly staff

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Very friendly staff and also incredibly helpful. Allowed us to fill up hot water for the little one. Although, it would have been better if the room offered a kettle/hot pot. Overall, we enjoyed the three nights we spent at this hotel and would consider staying there again.

Useless Shower.

Pros: Location. Comfy, clean beds.
Cons: Décor. Accessible plug points. Air Conditioning. Shower. Tea/coffee facilities.
Location: Rogier Metro Station. Hop-on-Hop-Off Bus Stop nearby. Near several restaurants (including two steak bars). Major Shopping Centre nearby.
Lovely comfortable and clean beds. Good location for links to the metro and there are several restaurants nearby as well as a large, indoor shopping centre which is open until 8pm. Tired décor needs updating. TV gets BBC1 & BBC2 but we caught a couple of English speaking films on the satellite channels. Free safety deposit box at Reception but it will cost you 400E if you lose the only key to your box. The TV socket high on the wall and another in the bathroom were the only accessible plug points No air conditioning but you can open the windows. Shower head bracket was in a fixed position, so when the shower is turned on it fires the spray too high. To shower or wash your hair you will need to hold the shower hose/head in your hand and rest it on the tap when not in use. No tea/coffee facilities in the room and it will cost you 3E for a coffee at the hotel bar. There are also major roadworks taking place nearby.

We are very pleased to hear that you found the location was convenient as it is one of the best located hotel in the city, from which you can experience Brussels and its surroundings in the most convenient and comfortable way. We were sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the bathroom facilities, as we do our best to meet and exceed our guest’s expectations by regularly renovating and updating the rooms to modern standards, taking into that the Hotel was opened in 1906. Regarding the high price for losing the key to the safe, it is due to the very expensive service of opening a locked safe. Finally, the road works taking place on Place Rogier have started in 2008 and we do our best to accommodate our guests from an external factor that is out of our control. Thankfully, the hotel is located on a side street which is not directly affected by the noise and consequences of these road works. nice old style hotel

Had a nice large room on first floor. Staff at reception was really helpful. Hotel is old style still keeping the colonial style. It wad dome sort of army headquarter.

Easy to walk to most attractions. Staff was friendly and professional. Bar was only open if requested. One short block from train station.

Stylish hotel close to the Nord Gar.

The staff was excellent! The face of hotel was beautiful. Some small areas need improvement as lights in the rooms and shower, but it was really not a meter. We staid 4 nights and really had a feelings like "at home". Highly recommended.

Great location and not too expensive

If you are not a fusspot and want a business overnight stay in a convenient location at a decent price, this is for you. Close to the Gare Bruxelles-Nord - walking distance through the seedy side of the city. Access to good shopping and meeting areas. The hotel has seen better days, but the bed was comfortable, hot water and a satisfactory breakfast. On a budget? Cost cutting? Do it! Stay here.

Clean, nice, quiet.

Pros: Clean, quiet, nice staff.
Cons: I was in a single room, and the bed was a little small.
Location: Very good location to find anything you need.
Nice hotel. Close to restaurants, not far from downtown. Nice staff.
