The room they gave us is not in the hotel and it is in a creepy basement across the street that reeks of raw sewage. There is no natural light and the furniture and mattress are terrible quality. I can hear all the upstairs tenants when they walk or use their toilet. Staying at Hotel du Congres was a terrible experience.

Bed bugs!!
I never tend to leave bad reviews. But here it goes. I've never encounter a place that had bed bugs before (and I had stayed in really badly reviewed places). I have bite marks all over my arms, face and legs! I'm badly surprised, as the price is not cheap! Please do something with your overall cleaningness.

Very friendly staff, hourly parking right in front of the door or daily parking (indoor) just 3mins walk. 5 mins to supermarket, 15mins walk to Grand Place.

My room was below some storage room and it was very Noisy and loud early in the morning (might have been the maid) and when I addressed my concerns with the person on the reception he just nodes and ignored me.

This is a generic, little, clean hotel that will do the work for a couple of nights. The staff was kind and efficient. Our room was tiny but clean and had an AC portable unit that saved the stay, because it was very hot the weekend we stay and the room is so small that it was getting stuffy very easily. I would recommend this little hotel for a quick visit to Brussels, it is a 15 min walking distance to the main plaza.

Great stay, clean, friendly and centrally located
Very pleasant stay! Clean and comfortable hotel with good breakfast and friendly service. We stayed two nights in Brussels and would definitely recommend the hotel. Also just a little walk away from the city center.

It was ok in general. The only thing which I found totally inconvenient was that in order to iron some clothes, I had to cross a busy road while it was almost raining, enter the main building of the hotel (they have rooms in 2 separate buildings) and go to the 3rd floor to find the ironing room which had only one ironing board and one iron for every resident of the hotel who wishes to iron his/her clothes. It appears that there was not any information on the website (when I made the booking) to explain/describe the above situation.

Awesome stay
Great hotel. The staff was awesome and very helpful. We were able to check in immediately and after checkout the next day stash our bags while we continued to explore the city. Location close to the station and central city.

Lovely period property is a good location. The staff very pleasant and helpful. Our room looked as if it had been recently refurbished and had very nice bedding and towels. We had a triple occupancy room which was in the garden area. It was on the first floor with a steep spiral stairway leading to our room.This staircase wasn’t easy to clime and this should be mentioned to guests before they book as older or disabled people would find it very difficult to climb. Apart from this one point I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay here again.
