Perfect location
The location can’t be beat. You’re steps from the main plaza, restaurants, and bars… but somehow far enough away that there’s no noise at night (and we were there for both a Saturday night and New Year’s Eve). The hotel manager’s hospitality was unmatched. I highly recommend this hotel.

The staff are caring, kind, and considerate and went out of their way to make my stay very enjoyable. This is a family run hotel which makes for a friendly atmosphere. My room was clean, fresh, quiet, and comfortable. The location is perfect too. Blocks from the train station and the Grand Place. Highly recommended. Thank you! I'll be back!

Lovely hotel very central and all staff/owner were helpful and friendly. Really central location for shops and christmas market. Breakfast was great self service buffet, had a lovely omelette made for me by friendly chap, helping us. would definately go back felt very safe. Thank you

Read the reviews!!
I had to book last minute but reviews helped me with my choice. Check in was seamless. Over my stay i interacted with 3 different front desk staff, amd all were very helpful and polite. Basically, it was very clean, particularly the bed which is the most imprortant, and had all i needed. There were a lot of wires for different lamps etc in the room -perhaps not all were needed. Quirky room lay out, lift access. Fire escape right outside the window. Quiet, a big plus. I would stay here again.

Ideal Central Location
This is a relatively small, but very conveniently situated property squeezed in right in the centre of Brussels. I chose it for the location and the price, but it also offered the basics I required. The bed was comfortable with white sheets and towels. The "superior" label gave me a small Juliette balcony. The room was quite small, but I find this generally the case in big cities, unless you want to shell out. Security was especially good for those who feel vulnerable in urban locations. The Manneken Pis was a stones throw away and the Grand Place not much further in the opposite direction.

La Légende could be great...with major improvement
Going to be as fair as possible since Sophie the hotel manager feels the need to read & respond to all reviews :). The good: The location of this hotel; Manneken-Pis, Palais de Bruxelles, Bruxelles-Centraal train station, and more, are all a short walk away. There's a plethora of restaurants & shops nearby. Never had a bad dining experience in the ones we visited. The staff are all friendly. Always greeted you, checked to see if you needed anything...one gentleman in particular (might've been the owner, not sure) asked us several times if there was anything he could do on our behalf, if our rooms needed cleaning, etc. Service was great. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable. The bad: The hotel has no A/C. I mean absolutely none, no central or window units. I understand A/C is not common in parts of Europe, or that it might be for ecological reasons, but it was 90°F humid weather during our stay. We would sweat even after taking a shower at night, it was that hot. The only relief was an old-fashioned standing fan (it didn't help). We asked about it before checking in, & were not answered until after our booking was non-refundable. The hotel shuts down during the summer...unfortunately, they forget to open the faucets when they reopen. There was air & dirty water in the pipes the first time we used them, which hit me in the face since I wasn't expecting it. The shower has no divider at the bottom, so water leaks out into the rest of the bathroom floor.

For the moment it is a ecological choice but we need to see as you say: the climate is changing.For the water, we are sorry: it was the day when we need to repare int he kitchen and ce needed to cut off the water supply. We forgot to check the faucets.We try our best and thank you again!

Delightful boutique hotel close to the Grand Place
A wonderfully located boutique hotel. Very courteous staff. Ample, if somewhat expensive, breakfast. Least expensive rooms are quite small but perfectly adequate.

Great location
Pleasant stay. Room doesn't have air conditioning and it was unseasonally hot so I made certain to open the windows wide whenever I could let cooler air in and have the curtains closed whenever the sun was on the room. I do wish the housekeeping staff wouldn't remove towels left on hooks - much better for the planet and contributes towards saving for the hotel which they could, of course, pass on to customers. Reception staff greeted every time I passed. I had a challenging time checking in as my flight was delayed (note, the number 12 bus from the airport doesn't take you into the city centre) and I arrived at the hotel after 1:00am. Staff were able to assist as I had already phone ahead from Heathrow to say I would be late. Location is great - just round the corner from Mannekin Pis and a short walk to Grand Place and Brussels Centraal Railway Station. Rooms are a little small but this is to be expected in capital cities in Europe.

Wonderful boutique hotel
Great location, courteous staff, charming smallish rooms. One of the best showers ever. Excellent breakfast on offer for only 12 Euros.

Adorable Hotel in Perfect Location
I had a wonderful time at Hotel La Legende. The location is perfect- right outside the old town area of Brussels. The Central Train Station is maybe a 15-20 minute walk. There are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. The hotel itself is clean and comfortable. The room was absolutely adorable and nicely decorated! Since I was there in October I didn't need air conditioning or heat. The temperature in the room was perfect. I loved the towel warmer in the bathroom. The staff was lovely, even giving me a box of chocolates when I checked out! That was great since I hadn't bought a box while in Brussels. I would definitely recommend.
