Belgium ExperiencePosted Dec 2, 2013
I was there visiting my son who has been studing abroad in Belgium. My mother and I stayed in the Le Plaza Brussels for 3 nights. The front desk staff were wonderful they all spoke English and were very helpful. I picked the cheapest room so initailly I was not expecting that much but was pleasently surprised. A big beautiful bathroom with separate toilet room. The bedroom area was big and clean. My only complain was the bed was a little hard but with the cleaniness and the beauty of the hotel I could deal with a little stiffness in the morning. It was the start of the Christmas season and the hotel was decorated beautifully. It was about a ten minute walk the the Grand plaza area and the main train station area to travel to other parts of Europe. The hotel was wonderful about holding our luggage for us after we checked out because we were spending the day in Brugge and would not be back to pick up our luggage till 8pm. It was not a problem. Also wifi was great in hotel. I would highly recommed this hotel!

Grand hotel.. Grand staff..Posted Oct 9, 2013
Had a lovely 2 nights here. The staff were very helpful specially Martin who checked us in and the blonde girl who helped us to print our boarding passes the morning of check out.. Also the free city map they give is one of the best I've received anywhere.. Would of loved a few more nights here and if I'm ever in Brussels again I would definitely stay here.. We didn't get the breakfast at €20/€29 it's a bit much other than that can't complain the bed was comfortable, room was clean, and staff always there to help..

Excellent HotelPosted Oct 4, 2013
Pros: Location, quality, value, customer servicing
Cons: Can't really think of anything that could be improved
Location: Close to the train and the La Plaza where there are many places to enjoy waffles, chocolate, or beer or all three.
A great hotel in a great location close to the plaza. The lobby and bar area was clean and the service was excellent. The room was spacious with tall ceilings and the quality was a high standard.

Lovely Hotel and good location.Posted Sep 6, 2013
Pros: The hoel Le Plaza had relaxing beds and grand breakfast. The location was ideal for culture and tourism.
Location: The hotel is in a great location and not far from shopping, food, entertainment and travel. The main shopping street is literally 3 minutes walk away
We found Le PLAZA Brussels to be much more pleasurable than we bargained for. The rooms we viewed were comfortable, spacious and the bathrooms were spotless, big and bright. The visit to Brussels was for my wife’s birthday and Le PLAZA’s front desk clerk Ms Lieke was very helpful and polite. The room we were given offered us a great surprise. Happy Birthday and a box of chocolates welcomed us as we opened the door. This room on the sixth floor was quiet, homely and WOW. The hotel is in a great location and not far from shopping, food, entertainment and travel.

Older, classic hotel near Noord StationPosted Sep 1, 2013
Pros: I loved the old world charm of this hotel. A nice change of pace from the cookie cutter hotels that are so prevalent today.
Cons: The beds were a bit stiff, but not bad.
Location: About a 10 minute walk to Grand Place. Certainly close enough for people who don't mind walking a short distance.
What a pleasant surprise. Booked this hotel at the last minute and I'm so glad we did. The hotel is gorgeous - classic old style with a lush reception area and grand views as you walk in. The desk was extremely helpful in providing recommendations to restaurants. The room was also very well apportioned, with a large bathroom and elegant furnishings.

Excellent qualityPosted Aug 31, 2013 on Hotels.com
Located in central Brussels, about 10 mins walk from the Grand Place. Hotel quality was high, with large well appointed rooms and very comfortable beds. Breakfast in the main (grand) dining room was very pleasant as well. Myself, wife and two teenage children really liked our 2 night stay.

Good Place to StayPosted Aug 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
It was enjoyable. On the up side: it was clean, the staff was very friendly and personable. The room was comfortable and roomy. The bathroom was very clean but there was no shower curtain, only a partition. I found that interesting. When we needed something the staff appeared interested and attentive. Mark and the young woman who was paired with him were really sweet and made good eye contact when speaking. On the down side: the lights go out in the hallway so it's a bit creepy. There wasn't enough adapters to convert from American outlets to European outlets. The tv went out and no one fixed it. No clocks to tell you what time it was. Also, the place is really nice but could use a bit of an update in décor. They also need a concierge to help you figure out things to and places to go in Brussels. Lastly and MOST important, transportation from the airport to the hotel. It took us four hours to figure out where we were and where to go. Once we figured everything out, we were ok. I would definitely stay there again if I were in Brussels. Final suggestion, a bit of upkeep on the old carpeting and décor would be nice.

Elegant, comfortable, conventient hotelPosted Aug 19, 2013
Pros: clean and elegant with helpful staff
Cons: could not think of one thing.
Location: Half a block from the metro - four stops to the Grand Place. Easy walk to excellent restaurants.
Spotlessly clean, elegant and very comfortable. Larger than normal European rooms - we had a deluxe room and a super-king size bed. The main lobby and restaurant were amazing - beautifully furnished. Staff could not be more helpful. Loaned us umbrellas on one rainy morning. Half a block from the metro so very convenient. I would stay there again and recommend it to anyone.

Superb, would definitely book again.Posted Aug 17, 2013
Pros: Polite and helpful staff, wonderful ambiance, exudes quality
Cons: Lack of air conditioning in the bedroom
Location: Good location, a short walk from central tourist sites
Wonderful staff, plenty of them and well trained, polite and helpful. Hotel ambiance superb with spacious and impressive public areas. Our bedroom (traditional room) was large and well appointed with a huge bed and fresh crisp linen. A delight to climb into. The bathroom shower was a little disapointing in that the water was never on the hotter side of hot - my preference, and that it was situated over the bath. The only downside was a lack of air conditioning in the bedroom. This was a problem at night as the main street outside could be quite noisy with the windows open, and although the noise was completely muted with them shut, the room became too warm to sleep. Breakfast superb, something to look forward to at the start of the day and worth the money. We would definitely book this hotel again.
