“Bad experience”

The steps leading to the rooms are very narrow and dangerous. The hotel was being refurbished and therefore it was a building site with a lot noise and dust.

“Solys Hotel Brussels”

The bedding appeared to be clean and the WiFi worked but apart from that there was nothing to recommend this hotel and I seriously doubt my chances of escape in event of fire from my third floor room at the top of two extremely steep staircases with inadequate bannisters. If it hadn't been so late when I arrived I would have turned around and walked straight out and found somewhere clean and safe. The bathroom was grubby (as was the room) with a mouldy shower curtain and a tap on the sink that was loose and barely functional. I would describe this not as a hotel but as a hostel. I often stay in Brussels and book through Expedia - this was a big mistake which I will not repeat
