Property was in the heart of grand place which was great 30 sec walk. Front staff were very helpful and friendly the breakfast included was very good food. I would definitely recommend this place if you enjoy being in the heart of the bars and restaurants and shopping this place is for you The only down side the room was extremely small but clean and cozy. But character and charm definitely make up for it

This place was so bad that I did not stay even though it was for one night but I found another hotel and left after seeing the place. I did lose my money but I did not care since that place needs complete renovation. It is unfortunate since it is in the most beautiful town squares of Brussels's city.

I would just like to tell you that the majority of our guests know very well that we are not a 4 or 5 star hotel, and that we have excellent reviews from our guests. I know people like you, who go on the internet and research prices only, never mentioning the condition or comfort of the hotel, which is why you said "horrible". We're a small hotel without a big reception, etc. So go to a 4 or 5 star hotel, accept to pay double or triple our prices and rest easy. There's no need to lie or invent an opinion just to cause harm. It's just a question of honesty. Sincerely yours.

The hotel is in an excellent location in the square. It is close to the shops, restaurants, and other places. The hotel room is enormous, and the bathroom shower water pressure is excellent. The gentleman who works at the front desk was accommodating with our transportation to the airport with no troubles! It is a beautiful hotel with lots of characters! I would love to stay here again on my next trip.

The hotel location was fabulous, right on the Grand Place, easy walking distance to attractions. A room at the front would have been lovely as they looked out over the square but ours was at the back. The room was basic but large and comfortable and catered for all our needs. The breakfast was served in a lovely restaurant across the square from the hotel.The best was the owner, Said, who was friendly, helpful and informative.

Location was perfect and the manager was so nice and helpful. The hotel’s lack of a lobby (it’s just a desk in a hallway) was a little odd and the carpet is in drastic need of replacing. The room was clean enough but could use a major overall. But again, location was perfect even if my room had no view.

Great Views and Great Service
We booked this hotel because of its amazing location and potential for views of the Grand Palace. We were definitely not disappointed!!! While the hotel itself is not the newest the staff there keep it very well Maintained and clean. The manager was extremely nice and had some great recommendations for places to visit and eat during our stay. While you would think it would be noisy at night the double windows kept it nice and quiet in our room from the bustling crowds in the plaza below. 3 nights we were there the grand palace was lit up beautifully!! Would definitely stay here again in the future for its service and walkability to so many things!!!!

Amazing location.
What an amazing looking Hotel and great location on the Square. Everything was quite quirky in that the reception isn't maned after 6.30pm so you have to make a call if you are late. The rooms are basic but the value was worth it not having all the extras. We wanted budget to be able to have longer, when on a sightseeing tourists weekend we are never in our room apart from sleeping. My low score is only because the bed was so small for a double with a very uncomfortable hard rim to the mattress!!! The gentlemen that greeted us morning and evening were super helpful. The breakfast was basic but charming as we had to go across the square with a ticket to another restaurant.

Hidden gem!
What a great hotel with an incredible view. The hotel is located right in Grand Place. We were welcomed and directed to our room where we enjoyed Prosecco with a view. I did book the room with a view and this did not disappoint. The hotel is a bit dated but did everything we needed. The breakfast across the square at Brouette was incredible. Both filling and delicious. Would 100% stay again!

I literally woke up with bug bites all over my back and arms. The staff is nice and welcoming, but unfortunately the rooms are not up to par - crazy, given the prices they’re charging.

Dear Patrick this is not a bedbug bite. A bedbug bites on different parts of the body and not just once and there should be blood on the sheets, which is not the case. It's possible that it's a mosquito, I recognize that sometimes there are mosquitoes like everywhere, but no bedbugs. We checked all the rooms and the mattresses, all the corners of the rooms, the corners of the parquet floors, and honestly and sincerely we did not find any bedbugs. Bedbugs also leave black marks on mattresses and walls. I advise you to go online to find out that your bite is not from a bedbug. In our business, the honesty of a hotelier is worth as much as that of a customer. Also out of honesty on your part, go to a doctor and you will see that he will tell you exactly the same thing as me. Dear Patrick, I know what I'm talking about, 12 years ago our hotel was infected with bedbugs, which can happen in all hotels in the world and we had to treat the hotel for several months by closing different rooms and tear it all out and paint it. Which definitively eliminated the scourge. If a hotel does not close and thoroughly treat the hotel, bedbugs remain behind headboards, corners of rooms and even on ceilings for several months without feeding. Here in a transparent and honest way, to tell you that it is not a bedbug bite. For 12 years we have never had any complaints regarding bedbug bites.I HAVE ONE OTHER QUESTION FOR YOU.NORMALLY IT'S WAS WOMEN COMPLAIGNE ABOUT THIS PROBLEM AND NOW I ANSWER TO THE MEN ??? CAN YOU TELL ME IF IS THE SAME PERSON??? PLEASEThank you nevertheless for staying with us.Said (manager)

The location was perfect - right in the Grand place square which is breathtaking. The front desk person was very helpful and kind. Other than that, the room itself didn’t have windows or AC. It did have 2 sky lights we could open but no screens so we left with bug bites all over. We didn’t have any soap or shampoo when we checked in but by the time we noticed (6pm), there was no one working.

This hotel is literally facing the Grand Place which is amazing. The only thing I’ll have to say is that it doesn’t have AC, which makes you sleep with the windows open and the lights from the Grand Place won’t turn off until morning. Aside from that, it was a spectacular place, with breakfast included at a restaurant across the plaza, and the staff at the reception were the best we have had in Europe.

The hotel is a bit outdated, but they make up for it with exceptional hospitality. The room is spacious and comfortable - and was clean. The view from the room was incredible - there’s nothing like it. Also, the service was excellent. Laurier (hope I spelt that right) was incredibly helpful and went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable. He escorted us to a taxi in the rain on our way out and made sure we had everything we needed. Breakfast is across the grand place and was very good! We enjoyed our stay and definitely recommend!

We loved this property. The staff were extremely helpful. We had a last minute travel glitch and they were really flexible about getting us a room last minute. It was an cozy inside room without a view, but we were happy to have it and then move into a big, bright room with a spectacular view of the main plaza of the town, the center of Brussels. The location is stellar, the nighttime lights and gentle hum of activity outside made us feel like we were right there in it while enjoying the comfort of our room. I'm a light sleeper, but the room was quiet and dark once we closed the double doors and curtains of the windows to go to sleep. The rooms and facilities could use some minor updates, like a paint job, but we still loved the place for the location. We walked from the train station about a 8 minute walk, but taxis come right into the plaza to pick people up as an option too. There are restaurants all around and free breakfast for the hotel is served at a pub across the plaza, which was spectacular. We ordered specialty coffees there at no extra charge. I would definitely stay here again.

Great front desk stuff. That’s about it. Property is very very old. Dirty carpets. Mildew in the bathroom. Door was open to the roof on the 4th floor most of the time. If you have kids be careful because there is no railings.

The hotel was in the most perfect location. 5 minute walk from Central station, with dozens of restaurants and bars within a minute or two walk. The hotel was quaint with the most impressive views of the Grand Place that you could hope for. The included breakfast at a nearby cafe was brilliant. Staff at the hotel were excellent and really helpful. There isn't any air-conditioning so the room could get stuffy at night. The windows could open for breeze but obviously that would let in some noise from the place. The rooms were surprisingly quiet with the windows closed. There was a spare single bed in our room suitable for a third guest. There wasn't a fridge. Overall, We would highly recommend the hotel to any visitors to Brussels!

Stay at this hotel for its jaw dropping view of the most beautiful square in Europe. The room was large, clean and comfortable but you must overlook the dirty entrance carpet! Once you do, you will enjoy your reward of a great historical building and hotel price with the best view ever right on the square! Glad I stayed!

Basic hotel in Brussels, with excellent location
This is a very basic hotel. A/C consists of a standing fan. In the bathroom it lacks a space to place toiletries or towel hangers. Breakfast was very good, at a near by restaurant. Main reason for selecting this hotel was to have a view of the Grand Place. Unfortunately, a Medieval Festival was taking place at the Place and stadium bleachers were built temporarily, Obviously, this is not the hotel's fault but, in any case, we did not have the view we were expecting.

Amazing View, Lackluster Room
The location and view are amazing and the gentleman who runs the place was fantastic. However, our room left A LOT to be desired. No AC so the window to a very busy and loud central square has to be left open which made it near impossible to sleep. Bathroom was decrepit, lock to entry door was broken, so many flies in the room and the stairwells were dark and dingy.

I am always ready to accept any remarks or complaigne, but I prefere to fix the problem directly with the guests. I am not agree for all your opinion but I accept some of them. The service of the manager or staff was lovely and very helpful. The location is perfect and amazing. The level and maintenance of the place is not very high.
