Not the best, ideal for back packers

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: Location for ease of getting around town but not for a good night sleep!
Cons: Rooms are very tired, doors are paper thin and windows not nearly sufficient for blocking out the street noise
Location: Five mins walk into city, brussels North train station is a stone throw
It's a real shame as this hotel is in a fantastic location, however, the rooms are incredibly basic and on the verge of inadequate. The breakfast is extremely expensive, no coffee facilities in the room and the bed is extremely low to the floor and uncomfortable. The pillows are absolutely terrible!

Ok hotel, great location, very noisy

Hotel is ok, great location near train station and metro. Building work, police sirens and car horns kept me awake, hotel could do with double/triple glazing.

Very good location!!

Posted Jul 11, 2014
Pros: The location, the price considering the location.
Cons: Very small, basic amenities only.
Location: Shopping district, grande palace all a very short walk away.
The hotel itself is dingy and small. Very basic. The location however is excellent!! 2 min walk to the metro station, 10 min walk down the shopping district to Grand Palace. Very good price for the location. Good place to stay if you want a cheap hotel and don't plan to be in it much.

Good central location

Posted Apr 19, 2014
The hotel is close to the metro station Rogier which puts it in an ideal location to access most of Brussels. It is a 10 minute walk to the grand place and is ideal. Surrounded by a couple of great restaurants and minutes from small cafés. The room was excellent (it was decorated very green!) however the lift was small and could only take one person and luggage before saying overweight- it must have been the waffles and chocolate! We could only get the wifi to work on one device out of 3, but this did not detract from the experience. Overall, an excellent budget hotel.

Dear Sam, We would like to thank you for the time and your comments regarding your stay at Hotel Châtelain. It is always a pleasure to read the feedback of our guests and to see that our staff and facilities are appreciated. The central location and the inviting surrounding which provides great restaurants are some of our strengths. We hope next time you will have access to internet on each of your devices, in your room as well as in the lobby. We are looking forward to welcoming you again during your next trip in Brussels. Best regards, Victor Camhis, General Manager

Do not go.....

Posted Apr 14, 2014 on Hotels.com
Hyper overpriced hotel compared to the quality of what you get, the hotel feels like one of those 1970s squallid "by the hour" motels you brought hookers to. rooms are tiny, dirty, and dingy, a total waste of money.

Dear Kartesio, We are sorry to read that you did not enjoy your stay. However, the Siru hotel is located next to place Rogier and is trendy with a lot of colours and is integrated in an Art Déco Building. The rooms are a bit small but modern and comfortable for a budget hotel in the center of Brussels. All of your comments are taken in consideration in order to always improve our services. Hotel close to Gare du Nord and Place Rogier.

Posted Apr 10, 2014
Pros: It was near the Conference venue - International Conference Centre.
Cons: Friendlier staff and greater efficiency. More room in dining room
Location: It is near the Place Rogier and the Gare du Nord
This hotel has been merged with the one next door - Hotel des Colonies. Entrance shared but Siru rooms are accessed separately. One lift only for all rooms - 7 floors and possibly 10 rooms per floor. Chaos in morning Reception desk was unfriendly and inefficient. Breakfast room shared with Hotel des Colonies. Inadequate size. Found it difficult to find a seat let alone a table to myself. Food OK.

Dear Guest, First of all I would like to thank you for your time and comments about the Siru Hotel. We are sorry to read that the staff was not professional and welcoming. Concening the elevators, our guest like to have a room on the first or 2nd floor in order to avoid the issue by using the stairs. Regarding our buffet breakfast, it has a wide variety of bread, cereals, fruit, juices and hot beverages however depending at what time you went to eat it might have been a bit crowded. All of your comments are taken in consideration in order to always improve our services and we are hoping to see you soon to see what the hotel really has to offer. Best Regards Victor Camhis, General Manager

Plugs..

Posted Feb 9, 2014 on Hotels.com
The entrance was elsewhere, and I searched and searched for a plug in the room.... even the fridge had its plug hidden behind a wooden encasing that one cannot remove or go through. If you think that this is a business hotel.. well, not if you need to reload your laptop or phone. Expensive, and in a neighbourhood that is close to the north station (beware of pickpocketing) and in a square that is a construction place. Not recommendable.

Highly Priced, extremely noisy

Posted Oct 25, 2013 on Hotels.com
Rooms are small. The shower area is very small. It's hard to take shower without hitting the walls. The room is extremely noisy even at night. You can hear if some body is whistling in the next room while taking shower. Windows can't stand the nice coming from outside. Terrible for sleep
