Excellent locationPosted Nov 13, 2013
Pros: Location, location, location, and a wonderfully comfortable bed.
Cons: The pool and steam rooms and the food.
Location: Grand Place (five minutes walk), St Catherine's Place (one minutes walk). Excellent location and good restaurants nearby.
I was on a short break in Brussels and had a friend joining me for two of the four nights I had booked. They had a comfortable sofa bed and I had a wonderful large bed. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was very clean. When I first arrived the extractor fan in the room I was given did not switch off. I was immediately transferred to another room without question. Any interaction I had with the staff was brief and pleasant. The location is within five minutes of Grand Place (overrated) and just round the back of the hotel is a good seleciton of restaurants in St Catherine's place. There is also a good supermarket in the next block and you are five minutes from good bakeries. I had pizza in the hotel the first night for convenience. Service was good but food was dreadful. And the steam rooms did not work - in fact the pool area (not really a swimming pool) seemed a little grubby and inadequate but that was not my main reason for choosing this hotel (and I can't swim!) The really nice thing about this hotel was that it was dog friendly as I met a couple with their three bull dogs who were all staying in the hotel. There were also many families staying and business men and women. All in all a great choice though pricier than I would have liked but the location made up for this and also the area felt safe as I was mainly travelling alone.

Excelent hotel; well locatedPosted Nov 10, 2013
Pros: Perfect for our 4 day stopover. Good location. Very quiet.
Cons: Room seemed to be too warm even with the heat shut off if the window was closed.
Location: Close to the sights. Lots of good restaurants and local bars nearby. Supermarkes within a block if you wish to buy snacks, beer, wine, etc.

Nice hotel right in the centre close to the squarePosted Nov 10, 2013
Hotel was nice and clean. We didn't eat in the hotel as its so close to all of the many restaurants and café. The bubble pool in the gym was broken as was the jet stream Pool and the sauna with no explanation. Whatever you do dont ask for a extra pillow. The stuck up prat wanted to search our room for another one before giving us one. Even a 29 quid cheap ibis will give you extra pillows.

Enjoyed a 3 day break in Brussels and stayed at this city centre hotel. Great staff including restaurant recommendations, nice bar and excellent breakfast buffet. Would happily stay at this hotel again.

Great hotelPosted Sep 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
The Novotel was clean, spacious and extremely close to the centre of Brussels. Walking to the Grand Place takes about 7 minutes and the hotel is just next to St Katherine's square which is filled with lovely restaurants. The room was extremely spacious and had a good bathroom. The shower did not flood the bathroom floor like some hotels I've stayed in and service was good. The added bonus is that there is wifi in the rooms. All in all a good choice of hotel. Would stay again.

Pleasant and comfortable stayPosted Sep 9, 2013
Pros: Cleanliness and courteous staff
Cons: Toilet is separated from the bathroom and did not have any other place to wash hands if the bathroom is occupied. But this cannot be changed.
Location: About 5-10 min walking distance to the Grand Place.
My family had a very comofrtable stay at Novotel. Room is spaceous, very comfortable, and very clean. Staff is very friendly and professional. It is located very close to the Grand Place and we could not ask for more.

Nice hotel close to historic sitesPosted Aug 27, 2013
Pros: Location, cleanliness, comfort
This hotel is located within a short walking distance from the grand place and central train station. It was very clean and the staff spoke English very well. The pool and gym were nice as well. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you're staying in Brussels.

great hotelPosted Aug 21, 2013
hotel was really nice, it was one of the best we experienced in Europe. location was great - just a short walk to the grand place and bus/train station room was beautiful - comfy bed, complete block-out curtains, nice big shower nice swimming pool and fitness area my only real negative is a staff member that gave us some bad information. the hotel does not offer a hotel transfer service so we asked one of the hotel members our best option for getting to the airport. He told us we could either take a train which was the cheapest option and according to him would only take 10-15mins and also come quite frequently or take a taxi which would cost 40 euro. we decided on the train, we left more than 2 hours early for the airport but when arriving at the train station found out that the train does not take 15mins but in fact takes 40+ mins and that not only do you have to take a train but when arriving at the station also need to take a bus. seeing as the next train didn't come for 30mins we couldn't risk being late for our flight so opted to take a taxi seeing as the man at the reception said it would cost only 40euros. well when we arrived at the airport our taxi fair was 180 euros!! seeing as the reception deals with tourists everyday you would think they would be able to provide you with accurate information about getting to and from the airport but instead we ended up 180 euro out of pocket!
