Not impressed

Posted Mar 17, 2014
I booked a double bedroom with a king size bed, we were moved around 3 times before we got to "our room" it was unhygienic I found hair in towels. Crumbs and crisps on the bed and stain. The toilet room holder was broken and the toilet had been left unflushed. The mattress was uncomfortable to sleep on.

Excellent hotel close to midi station.

Posted Mar 16, 2014
Pros: See above.
Cons: Breakfast food not kept hot. Some noise from outside during the night.
Location: Central, very close to midi station, within 15 mins walk of Central Brussels.
Reasonably new hotel, very clean, smart, excellent reception and en-suite room first class, some noise from outside during the night - garbage disposal I think and some revellers. Breakfast self service - cooked 'English' style food not kept hot - rather cool in fact, but otherwise b'fast was good. I thought it was exceptionally good value for money, but we stayed at weekend when pricing is lower I understand. Proximity to station was really useful. I'd happily recommend to others.

Birthday weekend in Belgium

Posted Feb 24, 2014
Pros: location , comfort
Cons: cooked breakfast was greasy and tasteless. the rest of the breakfast was tasty and fresh
Location: station is good
We were a group of 4 independent women staying in the hotel. The staff were all very kind friendly and extremely helpful. One FOH staff member gave us good advise about how to choose a day trip. We all slept comfortably. The location was superb as it is literally across the road from the midi train station. the showers were hot and good pressure.

Good Basic Hotel Just Beside Brussels Midi Station

Posted Feb 15, 2014
Pros: Location, room
Cons: Please replenish the toiletries.
Location: Just beside the Brussels Midi Station, very convenient for travel via the Eurostar and other trains to other parts of Belgium or Europe.
We saw the hotel immediately outside of the Brussels Midi Station. Going there was a short crossing of the street; very easy even while pulling our luggage. The hotel staff, however, was professional but lukewarm. We were not allowed to check-in early, but that was fine. The room was equipped with all basic necessities for a comfortable stay: kettle for coiling hot water, some tea bags and coffee, hangers for our clothes. The bed was big and comfortable enough for the both of us. The bathroom was functional. It was also quiet at night so we slept well. However, we were less than happy because the soap and shampoo were not replenished from the second day onwards; we paid for 3 nights and should have been entitled to proper refill. Please also take note that the surrounding area of the hotel may not be very safe at night; many drunkards and homeless people in the Midi Station.

Excellent position next to midi station.

Posted Feb 7, 2014
Pros: Nice decoration and helpful staff.
Location: Nest to Midi station and bus station, not a lot near but excellent service by Metro or train to Brussels Central.
Nice and easy to find, in the right location. The hotel staff did everything to help and make the stay pleasant. Directions from the station could be post as you leave the Eurostar platforms and at the main exit.

This hotel is right across the street from the Midi station which is very convenient. It is about a 10-15 minute walk to get the Grand Place , which is not very bad at all, not to mention places to eat and stop in at along the way. It's only about a 5 minute cab ride if you don't feel like walking. Breakfast buffet is kind of expensive at 15 euros, however the food did taste good and seemed of good quality. The beds were pretty comfortable, just didn't like having to have the two beds pushed together to make a "double bed" but I guess it's a euro thing. For the price (less than $120/night) it is a nice clean location with pretty nice and modern rooms. I would stay again
