Great inexpensive option

Posted Sep 25, 2012
Great service and quality for the price. Walking distance to Brussels Nord train station as well as to Metro Rogier. Nice, inexpensive alternatives to the usual hotel breakfast (coffee shop in hotel as well as at Rogier station). Big gym with decent possibilities to exercise. Overall really great for the price.

Cozy, Confortable and oh so convenient

Posted Sep 16, 2012 on Hotels.com
This is a great value close to the Gare du Nord and right across the side street to the Sheraton where I had a conference. Only this was 30% less expensive and quitet as could be. Shares a lovely breakfast room with two other sister hotels (the Siru and Colonies. and the back office staff works for all three. There is decent wifi service (free) when you get code for lobby and room from the conciege. Beaware that you need your room key to engage the elevator and to enter the hotel directly from Rue de Progress, or else you must ring the buzzer (somewhat slow process late at nate). I will definitely book for next year.

10 min walk from the Grand Place

Posted Jun 11, 2012 on Hotels.com
The bed's were one very comfortable that I had good night's sleep. The hotel location was very convenient being 5 mins away from Brussels Noord station which is a 10min train ride from the airport and 10mins walk from Grand Place which is where most of our tours started and the main centreis located.

Progress Hotel - Brussels

Posted Oct 22, 2011 on Hotels.com
A small modern boutique hotel. Good location among the big hotels, next to Rogier subway and the Rue Neuve shopping street. Very clean with helpful staff. My room was on the road site but it wasn't noisy. Good for business trips. On the negative, the rooms are small (but comfortable). Fair breakfast (the place is too small but it wasn't a peak period the day I stayed). Wi-fi is free and it is available only in the lobby. No restaurant in the hotel but there are few outside.

My experience at The Progress Hotel

Posted Jul 18, 2011 on Hotels.com
Very confortable hotel, good location if someone has to work by the area. is important to know that the hotel is very close to the metro and just 5 minutes fron the train station. The hotel is new and very close to the main atractions. the only critic is the hotel daes not have a restaurant, just a club cafe open until 5 p.m. It means that if you want to eat somethig, you must go out. In the night the neighbourhood is not nice, because the train station is very very close to the red zone. but, if anyone has to move to the grand place is safe. About the staff, it was very kindly anf helpful. My room was not too big, not to small, but confortable. I spent 10 days in the hotel, and I enjoyed my stay

Possibly the worst hotel I have stayed in ... ever

Posted May 20, 2011
So I stay in many hotels as I travel a lot, I have never had a hotel were there has been such unfriendly staff ever. The room was adequate, the location not bad, but the staff were the let down factor. After you pay for your room, then everything else is for sale, a cup of coffee in your room, that you make yourself,is more expensive than in a coffee shop, this is something most hotels provide free; Internet access, at a price, only they did not bother to provide me with the cord to log in,. did not feel serving a customer was important; the carpets were stained and did not feel clean. Never again, Brussels has some good hotels, just not this one.

A Bit Disappointed

Posted Sep 24, 2010
I was a bit disappointed in this hotel which was supposed to be 4 star. The TV services were erratic, channels came and went. Sometimes BBC was there, and at other times there were no English-language channels. The only tea/coffee making equipment in the room is a coffee capsule machine, charged at 3 euros per cup. The hotel did not provide a kettle to make tea, despite my requests. The staff varied from extremely helpful, to extremely silly and unhelpful. For example, they were unable to provide information about major cultural events that were occurring during our visit and tried to fob us off with incorrect information. The hotel is located less than 10 minutes walk from Brussels Nord station, but it is hard to find Rue du Progres coming from the station. Heading in the other direction, the hotel is convenient for the shopping strip
