Great location, tiny roomsPosted Dec 3, 2013
Cons: quality of rooms and facilities
Location: right behind the 'grand place', next to plenty of shops restaurants and bars
We arrived at the hotel at 9am, so we did not expect to check in until the afternoon. However after waiting around all day we finally got in our room, and it was a real disappointment. The room was tiny and for a deluxe room, the only thing I can think of that may be different about is is maybe there aren't any bathtubs in a standard room. There was a view of a brick wall building opposite. The main bedroom could not of been any smaller. There were plenty of other hotels nearby which were much cheaper and had better facilities

Very nice hotel a stone's throw from Grand PlacePosted Oct 15, 2013
Pros: Central location; helpful staff & good restaurant.
Cons: Wi-Fi should be free or at least a little less expensive.
Very speedy check-in & in spite of having booked through Expedia with a big discount we were given a good room on the 5th Floor (There are only 6 floors) situated at the back of the hotel, which is very quiet. Extras are expensive, but we were given complimentary water. Staff were very friendly & helpful. We had a drink in the bar & ate in the restaurant (Frequented by locals & visitors), which has a lively atmosphere & delicious Italian food.

well located hotelPosted Oct 11, 2013
hotel is well located, clean ,and the staff is exceptionnaly helpfull and nice.Only 2 problems: we were there for 6 days and the internet(20 euros for 24 hours ) functioned properly maybe only once!!! Fortunately, they did not charge us.The other problem was the noise!our room gave on the street and it was the nosiest place I have seen anywhere in the world !!!So,if you reserve there, make sure you insist that your room does not give on the street...if they don't have any ,go somewhere else.My brother was there at the same time as us, and his room was on the other side of the hotel ,and he did not hear anything of the inferno we were submited to every night.

A BRIDGE TOO FARPosted Oct 7, 2013
Pros: The location was central to anyone who was a first-timer to Brussels. We weren't and the fact we came from Bruges likely colored our picture.
Cons: The staff is professional, but everyone seems to be looking for gratuities at the turn of a head. Car parking (30 Euro) was costly, too.
Location: You are within walking distance of most anything, especially the Grand Place and the Mannekin d'pis.
Slightly disappointed after experiencing the Rocco Forte experience in Berlin. Brussels needs a facelift as many of its buildings are now shabby, which is very noticeable in the Grand Place, around the corner from the Hotel. Amigo. The hotel, while considered a 5-star property, did not merit it in our book, but this is only the opinion of someone who merely stayed overnight and did not sample any meals, including breakfast.

Great customer servicePosted Sep 21, 2013
Pros: Service, rooms, restaurant
Location: Great location, right behind the Grand Place.
Staff at Hotel amigo was very helpful - secured an early check-in (much appreciated) and printed down some train tickets for me at the front desk. Very nice, clean room. Restaurant Bocconi was very good as well.

Love this hotelPosted Aug 17, 2013
We absolutely loved this hotel and would stay there again! The location of this hotel is absolutely perfect and the staff, rooms and service made it that much more exceptional. Our room was nice and if you leave one of the keys in the power slot when you leave, the air conditioning stays on! The cleaning, turndown, everything service was top notch and the bathroom was quite big (towel Warmer, pants press, good blow dryer). Again the location is absolutely unbeatable.

Excellent bar, enjoyed every evening with good wine before go out for dinner. Location of hotel half a block from Grand Place, you can literally see Grand Place from the hotel enterence. We felt very special at our stay and made our vacation very enjoyable.

Great hotel located just next to the Grand PlacePosted Aug 6, 2013
Pros: Great location, fantastic service
Location: Located adjacent to the Grand Place Very short walk to Manneken Pis
My wife and I had a great time at the Hotel Amigo. From the moment we entered the hotel, we received exceptional service. The room was also very nice. The best part of the hotel, is the proximity to the Grand Place. My wife and I don't travel often, and this was the first time overseas. This made it so much nicer to have a hotel so close to the attractions.
